Convenient but not very Bright

I left my Specialized Stix in a hotel on a trip. I needed something affordable as a quick solution. I have used these on a number of rides with no issue. I've ridden in the cold and the rain and these help up perfectly. They are small and indiscreet, not bulky, as other options. However, the brightness when on flasher is not as bright as what I had used. So these are great for adding visibility when riding during the day, but should NOT be used for night riding.

Very small but bright.

These are very small and do not offer good light coverage for night riding. I had to buy a bigger light. I do use them for walking my dog at night.

Be prepared to purchase new batteries upon receiving these!

I purchased these bicycle lights from Kryptonite as opposed to another company because I have bicycle locks from Kryptonite and thought this was a reputable company. Upon receiving my bike lights only one worked. I switched the batteries to see if it was the light itself or just bad batteries. Apparently it was the batteries. (There isn't an expiration date on these cell batteries.) So I decided to go through the trouble and send them back in exchange for new ones. After going through all of that and waiting a couple of weeks for the new ones to arrive, once again only one of the lights work! I will have to purchase new batteries today in order to have both lights working. If they come with batteries you shouldn't have to purchase new ones in order to use the product.

Good, little, effective and simple

I’ve used these for a few weeks on strobe mode for 1+ hour a day on the same set of batteries. I like them. They are easy to turn on and off and seem effective. I knocked off a star because one set of batteries was dead on arrival and I had to buy new ones to use them.

No frills bike lights.

These are great bike lights. Compact, easy to install, and since I don't have to charge them every time I need to use them, they're always available for me. I noticed that my friends who use rechargeable lights were always struggling to keep them charged (and therefore not having lights available at night - yikes), and so I decided on these. They're doing their job well and are always available when I need them. I love the flashing feature as that makes me more visible to cars on the road when commuting in the evening. They're also easy to put on or take off so they can simply be carried on your person when keeping the bike locked outdoors.

front bike light-cometF100--

This is advertised as a bike light--- In the photo on Amazon it shows a very close up view of this item--not mounted on any kind of handle bar for front of bike---no relativity as to size. This is a tiny light that might be good for a kids toy. When I opened the package I could not believe what I was viewing--I thought that the wrong item was sent--it actually is laughable that this is sold as a front bike light. I do not know what to do with it but it certainly will not be put on my mountain bike -strictly for my safety. Item is Kryptonite Comet F 100 front bike light --You have to see it to believe it. Thank you

excelentes para ser visto, mas no para iluminación del pavimento

Excelente lampara, sirven incluso hasta para ser visto de día, aunque el led es pequeño es muy poderoso. La hechura en general es excelente, lo habitual en los productos kryptonite, todo el cuerpo es aluminio y son contra agua, ya las he probado bajo lluvia intensa y no dio ningun problema, actualizare información de la duración de bateria cuando se me terminen las que trae, trae dos pilas cada lampara, la lampara trasera tiene un poco de angulo para que al ajustar en la tija del sillin esta quede completamente horizontal, ese detalle me agrado demasiado.

Good for being seen and lighting up semi-dark paths

This is a nice, lightweight, basic, water resistant, easy to install light for semi-lit areas. I use it downtown, and for riding down streets lit with streetlamps. It's not that bright, but it lets cars know Im coming and lets me see potholes or other stuff a little bit better than without it. I have a 1000 lumen weaponlight that I mount on a headstrap for very very dark areas (forests, woods, etc).

Great little entry level bike light

I mainly downhill and dj and I keep this on my bike for when I have to ride home on the road at night, or to light up small trails if it's a bit dark. It doesn't move around if I hit a light jump or a series of bumps, so that's promising. I've also used this in the rain and it didn't stutter. It's held on by a silicone band that wraps around your handlebars and clips together. The only thing I'm worried about, is if over time the band may lose its strength. This is a very good light for somebody who doesn't need something 'professional'

Short lifespan...disappointing

First it said it came with batteries...but they failed to say that the batteries would be dead. So off to the store. Second it says 55 hours in high steady. After installing top quality batteries to replace the dead ones it was shipped with...the light lasted only a few hours and is now dead, so back for more batteries, and ideally a bike light from another brand. Very disappointed in the product, the size, functionality etc were just what I was looking for, but the light disappoints and doesn't perform.
