Easy to read

Love this product so far! Convenient not having to fish the thermometer out of the water for a reading! The display is clear with large digits and adjusting the settings were quick. Temp reading has been spot on with another style of thermometer we have floating in the pool. Highly recommend!

User friendly

This was a great gift for my friend. He can now easily read the temperature of the pool without walking the distance of going outside to look at it. It fits neatly on end table in family room or on his desk.

Condensation developed

Have had for a few months now, assuming it is accurate for the top 5" of water in the pool. Condensation has developed in the floater that goes in the pool - long term implications of that are probably not good.

Nice Big Numbers

I like this WiFi pool thermometer. It replaced another one that had “died” after several years. This one has a larger, easier to read display than my old one but it is not back lit like the old one was. I really liked the back lighting of the old one because I didn’t have to turn on a light to see it at night. This one also has a clock that the other one didn’t. I don’t use it but it might be handy for some people. Overall I like it. If it was back lit, it would be perfect.

Defective but LaCrosse Promptly Replaced…Do NOT buy Asurion Plan for this product!

Pool floater has condensation on the screen making it impossible to read. Have tried to dry it out; it is sealed and never been dropped, no cracks. Just large bubbles of condensation on the screen in the pool make it unreadable. I bought the Assurance Plan in case anything happened to it and I was denied my claim because they say water damage is not covered under the plan. It is a water item; so why wouldn't water issues be covered by it? It's too bad because the product if it worked properly is a great addition to knowing the pool water temperature! UPDATE: Contacted LaCrosse who promptly helped me and after we couldn’t fix it, they are sending me a replacement free of charge. Outstanding customer service! Just do not buy Assurion Warranty plan from Amazon.

Not Acccurate

Design is good. Indoor display is great without having to run out to the pool to check the temp. The display on indoor and outdoor unit are large and easy to read. Dissapointed that the accuracy is not as expected. Most of day the reading was accurate there are times where it would go to 152 degree and 135 degrees. I will test it for a few more days and reach out to manufacturer to see if this is a known defect. It will likely be returned due to this issue.

Quality Built and Made to Last

After trying a cheaper thermometer for the hot tub, we decided to invest in the more expensive La Crosse thermometer. Been using it now for about six weeks and it does NOT leak water. The temperature display on the thermometer itself and on the base station in the house are very large and easy to read. If it is important for you to keep tabs on the temperature of your hot tub (like if you live in the frozen tundra of Minnesota), then I highly recommend this particular thermometer.
