Very Good
After I read the instructions, that in order to use their "indoor/outdoor" thermometer, you move the suction cup from one side to the other side to apply it so that you can read it. I had a pretty good laugh at that one.

This is hard to read and will not stay on the window.
It is hard to view and it will not stay on the window. Bad suction cup.

Hard to read
The only bad thing is that it is hard to read. Have it in a window and is super hard to read, not sure if the daylight behind it or what. Would not buy again.

Weather resistant NOT WATERPROOF
The instructions state "PRECAUTIONS: Though the unit is weather resistant, it should be placed away from direct sunlight, rain, snow. . .Do not leave it outdoors in extreme weather conditions". I will leave it outdoors permanently. I try to improve it's reliability by applying scotch tape over the joint to the removable bottom cap and taping aluminum foil to the side facing the sun. The foil is 3 inch horizontally and 4 inch vertically. The tape used for the foil is the 2 inch wide transparent package sealing tape. The tape sealed to the window glass above and alongside the unit but below the unit was left open. I wonder why Taylor chose black plastic instead of silver or white which is less sensitive to sunshine?

Just what I needed
I* take swim classes for exercise and have to take my 2 little Service Dogs with me. I park them in the shade in an open area, however I am very aware that it can get to hot for them. I'm in the water so I don't notice when it is to hot for them. That is why I bought this. I can keep track with the Thermometer of how hot it is out there. When I see it's too hot for the dogs. I leave the class and take the dogs home in an air conditioned car.

Not very good at low temperatures
I am using one of these thermometers outside a window, using the suction cup. It worked fine for awhile, and then when the temperature went into the teens, all of a sudden, all the thermometer would do is blink 188 over and over. If I bring it in and warm it up, it displays the correct temperature, but if I put it outside again and the temperature goes below the 20's, the blinking starts again. Kind of a problem if you live in Maine.

Not bright enough to see the temperature
I use a flashlight in order to see the temperature, but I shouldn't have to.
