great for night fishing

This light is comfrotable to hold and use.. its not as bright as others.. but the beam goes a good distance.. and its waterproof.. up to 6 feet.. which is why I think its good for night fishing.. the padded handle makes it easy and comfy to hold.. with its 3 settings of light.. you have light for any of your needs.. also flashing if trouble arises.. takes 6 double A batteries.. so depending on what brand of batteries you use.. will dictate how long they last.. but overall.. this is a good flashlight.. will come in handy for many things

A solid average flashlight

This is no Streamlight or Fenix, but it is a good solid flashlight. It’s very bright and lights up for a good distance with a bit of wide flood light. I like that it uses regular batteries which should hold the charge between uses. I have been disappointed with other rechargeable lights that won’t hold their charge. It’s well put together and easy to change batteries. It will make a great household flashlight for miscellaneous needs around the house. I thought the pistol group would be useful, but I’m finding that makes it hard to use as a task light. It’s great for carrying and pointing, but if I’m using my hands for something else, like walking a dog on a leash, it becomes awkward to hold it somehow while holding the leash and also the doodie bag to pick up the droppings. It does have a ring in the handle that would be good for a lanyard. That may be something I try out. It might also work better to keep in a car or truck where you might need an extra light to look around while out and about. The light claims to be 800 lumens and it is definitely brighter than my 220 lumen flashlight I have, but it’s hard for me to say it’s 4 times brighter. However, I’m not complaining. It’s definitely bright enough to find a black dog loose in the backyard at midnight. If you are a flashlight aficionado, you’ll notice that the light is not clean and clear. The reflector/glass has imperfections that show up as shadowy rings in the light beam. For most people, most of the time, this is no big deal. It takes a more costly light to have a clean beam. That said, I’ve seen lights with way worse shadows and uneven lights. The light also has a super bright center that falls off quickly into the wider flood beam. I imagine that’s how it was designed to get its lumen number, but the big difference in brightness somewhat diminishes the usefulness of the area outside the bright center. All this said, I’m not disappointed in the light. It will make great all-purpose light. I may decide to keep it in the truck to have handy for a partner to use when I’m backing a trailer in the dark.

Light Spray/Beam is Strong with Lightweight Body, Possible Loose Connection in Mine

First, the bad about this otherwise very strong long-range flashlight. Even after turning this off (via the trigger) it powers back on if it’s shaken or moved at a different angle. There’s obviously something loose in my flashlight and don’t know if it’s particular to mine only, or all of them. With the bad out of the way, this flashlight gives excellent brightness (at highest level) to shine several hundred feet away. The other dimmer option, accessed by pressing the trigger twice in quick succession in under 5 seconds, is obviously dimmer and still does allow me to see several hundred feet away at night, just at a much dimmer light (but with a good light spray focus that is impressive). As stated in the description, this flashlight does come with the 6 AA batteries needed to power it. Also, there’s an instruction page that comes with the flashlight that covers the basics of operation as well as a description of each portion of the flashlight’s body. Despite the power and light spray at the highest setting, this is a very lightweight flashlight and looks heavier than it is. The only control is the red trigger, (squeeze once for brightest, twice quickly for dimmer option, thrice to turn off. Again, after moving it even slightly or shaking it, my particular flashlight powers back on, so a star off for that. Thanks for reading.

As expected

I'm not a huge fan of battery operated flashlights any more, not since so many rechargeable choices became available. However, I do like to keep a few battery operated lights handy in case I can't recharge the rechargeables. This fits the bill nicely. First, I like that it only takes four AA batteries, rather than larger ones. The package boasts of a 13 hour life span on the batteries. I imagine that would have something to do with the quality of the batteries used. I have not tested that. It's very light weight, and the beam seems plenty bright. The two brightness levels are adequate. It does not have any extra features, like so many others these days; no flashing or S-O-S or anything like that. It's a very simple piece of gear, but when you really need it, you need it. I'm satisfied.

Bright, disappointing switch mechanism

This light is plenty bright and runs off 6 AA batteries. I got this in particular for the water rating since I need a spotlight I can use in the rain and have not had it fail yet after multiple uses in heavy rain, so good there. However, the trigger mechanism to toggle the light high/low/off is pretty bad. I always find myself pressing the trigger and it doesn't change or even pressing it and find it going two steps forward. If I press it really slowly it works fine, but I just want to press it like any normal trigger and it work.

Not very bright

The flashlight is lightweight but not very bright. I got it for when the power goes out, which is frequently. I was hoping it would be super bright but it’s not much brighter than the little flashlights I currently have.

Works Well

We like this light. It's easy to operate. Battery source is 6AA batteries so something we tend to always have on hand. Lightweight, and portable. Easy to hold and carry. No issues at all. Would recommend
