Fantastic Tool

Works great, but has issues

I have had other laser measure devices, but this one definitely has the range I need for bigger projects. The only issue I have with it is that in camera mode the distance is shown in black over the picture. so if you have something dark at the bottom of the picture, you can't read the numbers - especially in sunlight. I think an easy fix would be to make the numbers in a color that really stands out (like red)

It works well indoors and outdoors

I had a prior version that broke after 15 years. The new version has LED/Video display that allows for targeting outdoors to get better measurements. I really like it and use it regularly.

x3 is better

i have the x3, i bought this as it has a sunlight mode for shooting long shots outdoors. it waits a little longer for the shot to come back i guess. unfortunately, The e7500i doesnt want to connect as a regular bluetooth device on android like the x3 does. so i can only use the lame leica apps with it. disappointing that i have to return it. AND The video feed to help you make a long shot is useless. if you need help making long shots get a rangefinder or add a monocular to the x3 and get one of the aiming accessories to mount on a tripod.

It works as expected - which is great!

I had to buy a replacement for one I bought 4 years ago. I'm a real estate appraiser and I use this thing every day. No complaints at all on how long the last one lasted!! It's reliable and accurate. The camera feature is the best, especially in bright sunlight when you can't see the laser's red dot. And I love the fact it's battery powered because if I had to stop to charge it that would be the end of the day. If you need to measure accurately, this will do the job for you.

Likes and Dislikes

Like-(1) lighter than older models. (2) Calculator built-in. (3) Bluetooth Leica app works with current Iphones. Dislike-(1) having to hit the on and +/- buttons to use the laser. Older models you only had to use the on button. (2) Also Leica app sometimes misses some of the measurements (do not always show up on the Iphone). (3) The laser has less buttons than older model. I like it when you hit a button and the type of measurement is already there without having to search through a menu.

El aparato es util para exteriores

El aparato es muy bueno para medir exteriores pues tiene una cámara que se puede visualizar en lluvia, sol, y esto da una buena medida. Las baterías duran aproximadamente un mes usando todos los dias y tiene buena resistencia a la inclemencia del tiempo. Mi anterior aparato me duró aproximadamente cinco años, espero que este me dure más.

It stopped working after 18 months

I was using it about once a week and it stopped working after 18 months only!!! No features works properly. I reached out to Leica and they promised me to send me a new one. Stay tuned! Update; They sent me a new one. This one works fine.

Works great inside and outside

Works great inside and outside, even with bright sunshine conditions. Lots of useful features. The app that interfaces the instrument with and android smart phone is awkward and primitive though. Mounted on a tripod, it will measure up to 750 ft, with execeptionally consistent and repeatable measurements.

Accurate and time-saver

Bought as a replacement to the Disto A5, for which I could no longer obtain replacement parts. Hope it is as durable as the old workhorse, which I've had for 15+ years.

there must be a flaw int he design of this ...

there must be a flaw int he design of this thing, I have purchased and returned thre, the most common fault is that it just stops working. goes dead. the second replacement had a crooked screen. Switched over to Hilti, not as fancy but at least it works.
