Great for now!
Honestly, its feels like it does the job. It's good for now. The black plastic that covers the wires, seems to be pretty thin, I would hate to scuff it on a sharp edge as it might tear open... last thing I need is an expose electrical wire. But if youre careful with it, yes it is worth the money. I've used it for a 220v 50amp welder and plasma cutter and it does the trick! Over all great buy for 100bucks!

Max works 80703 40 ft
Very good for the price, holding up well after a couple of months of use. I bought the 40 ft but it's a bit short of 40 ft but overall a good buy.

Use it several times for 240 volt welder.
No issues working good. Check that you don't need an adapter.

Works for me!
Love the price and the quality of the cord. Used it for my 220V Plasma cutter and 250 amp MIG welder, noticed no voltage drop. My cutter performed flawlessly on the 3/16 material I was sheering/welding. No over temp warnings like with my 10/3 cable. The cable was exposed to the sun in 110 degree ambient temperatures, so the ground was much hotter. The cable held it's shape and carried current without issues. The plugs work great, connecting and unplugging went without a hitch or struggle. The female plug end lights but not the male? To me all that matters is it's ability to carry current without loss over the 40ft length. Thumbs Up!

Holy Crap...talk about a cord!
Talk about a heavy duty addition to my plasma cutting arsenal! I needed something that would stand up to some abuse and something that would allow me to reach the areas that I was plasma cutting (and now welding). With 40' of cord and durability, I was able to cut into a shipping container from all angles without a hitch. Plenty of power and portability. This thing is a beast and a perfect buy if you're in the market for more access to hard to get to places.

Neon Indicator light in plug is slowly burning the plastic from inside
Cord is nice and flexible. Preforms well as my welder extension cord…but the little internal neon lamp on the female end has gone out (not a big deal) but something with the failed bulb gets the plug gets warm to the touch (in use or simply plugged in) and I cannot leave it plugged in unattended or it could start a fire. Would try a replacement, but doubt that is going to happen.

REALLY REALLY BIG
No seriously, this thing behaves less like an extension cord and more like a garden hose full of water. Winds and unwinds nicely, wants not to kink or tangle owing to the ridiculously large wire diameter. Lighted ends are cute, why not I suppose? Not like you'd have trouble finding this thing, it's just so bloody large. Most importantly though, I couldn't find any place online or anywhere else where I could get 40' of 8/3 plus two 250V plugs for about $120 or so, which is what I paid for this. If you don't have a N6-50 receptacle, you'll need to either install one or purchase an adapter for your standard N14-50 (stove) or N14-30 (dryer) receptacles. If you find something better for less, I'd be very honestly quite surprised. Skookum AF.

Good value but could be better
great value for the money as it is genuine stranded copper 8guage cable with proper ends on it, however the outer sheathing is a little stiff even at above freezing temps im skeptical how itll handle a canadian winter outside, also the female plug is a really tight fit even after 20-30 uses it cant be pulled apart by hand, i have to unplug the cord and use a steel bar to pry the connection apart.. it seems to be the ground prong that gives the trouble but i dont know what a solution would be maybe some dielectric grease

Tight fit up. You won't have to worry about the power cord sloping out
It's definitely worth the money. The cord is flexible but solid. Works great. It already paid for itself in one little job. I have a 230 amp MIG Linde welder and I was able to weld 1/4" to 1/4" no problem and I would purchase this cord again. Maybe even the 100ft cord next time. Everywhere I looked people wanted over $200 for a 50 foot cord. I got a 40 foot cord for I believe was $127 and delivered right to me. Thank you ????

So far so good. Works as it should.
Works as it should and I have used it a few times to hook up my 240 v mig welder. Cord appears to be well made, but as for durability it will take a few years to comment as I don’t use it enough, but for my purposes should be fine.

Great value for the home shop
Needed to use my welder outside of my shop and this extension cord fit the bill perfectly. While it probably wouldn't stand up to heavy industrial use this cable is perfect for home use. I can also see this product being very effective for extending an RV power cord.
