A very useful tool for drywall installation
Mostly, I used this bit with a dremel to do cut-outs in drywall for outlets. If you have intentions of doing the same thing, I would recommend the Dremel 565 Multi-Purpose Cutting Kit, also sold by Amazon, that includes three of these bits.

Perfect for cutting porcelain tiles
I need to cut a couple of slots in my shower tiles for the glass door hinges. This did a fantastic job!

Maybe my dremel wasnt high enough RPM....
This bit did not like my dremel, did not like the desk I was cutting a hole in. It smoked and burned the whole way. Again, possibly my fault with an older dremel, but I had little issue ripping steel with this same dremel.

Worked great.
I was putting in a new window in my bathroom up above my bath tub. The outside of the house where I had to cut for molding was to close to the eave to use the circular saw. This worked out great to cut the upper part. It was about 1 1/8 inch cut.

Beautiful Gift
I freely admit that I bought this beauty for a friend. You see, I borrow a lot of tools - especially the tools I don't use that often. And that means that I'm inducing wear on someone else's equipment. Most people would just say "oh well, too bad, real tool owners don't loan out any tools". But regardless, I find that blades and bits and stuff wear out, especially when you run them through the wrong materials like metal nails. That's how this beauty came into my life - it is a replacement for another brand that I chewed to pieces. But not lets get into the details. First, the packaging is surprisingly beautiful. It's a simple yet effective blister-pack-on-paper, which protects the bit yet still shows it off. And yes, it deserves to be shown off. It's a fancy piece of machined steel, yet it looks like a fine silver when it catches the light just right. My lady was definitely a bit jealous when I said I was giving this piece of bling to a man-friend. In terms of cutting: It looks sharp, like it could go through some half-inch drywall without issue. However I cannot say if it will go through plaster. Remember that plaster is not drywall. Most people don't even know what plaster is, but once you live in a few 80+ year old homes you realize that drywall is kind of for babies, and that's just not because the 50 years of lead paint on old plaster. So do I recommend this? Without reservation. But buy a bunch. Because bits wear out when you force them through the wrong materials.

A solid product but one small confusing decision
So the cutting edge doesn't exactly go to the edge. As a result when I use the sharp tip to puncture the wall and move it to cut, I have to extend the bit further in to get more cutting. In places where there is plumbing, ductwork, and studs this means pulling the bit out a bit to not damage it, which means the top part is cutting but the bottom part cannot cut and will effectively burn through friction its way through VERY VERY slowly. If the cutting edge went down to the tip of the bit I'd easily give this 5 stars but that seems like a weird choice. This is the only drywall cutting bit I could find also so I have no idea what's up. I was so reluctant to buy a drywall cutting tool just for small jobs and it ended up being a bit of a waste as I ended up using an engineer's scale with a boxcutter to do the remainder of the job.

Over-rated
Again fittings for the dremel system are costly. It would not be so bad if they were quality bits but they are average.

Did a fantastic job
My tiling guy was a little too 'tight' with the tiles around the wall light outlet, and as a result the base of the sconce did not sit flat. I needed to remove about 1/2" of ceramic tile already set in place. Did a bit of research to work out what to buy, and this was the recommended product. Worked flawlessly, first time. What I like - Does exactly what it supposed to What I dislike - It seems excessively prices for what you get All things considered, I was pretty happy with this. My tile was about 1/4" thick, and this bit ate through it like butter. Would buy again!
