I USE THIS ACID BLEND ALMOST DAILY

As you can see, I have been using this acid blend. In a solution to keep veggies from getting mold, making preserves brighter, in flavor.This stuff is great! You should see how it makes homemade fruit leathers stand out, in flavor. Try it in other recipes (a little pinch at a time) and get that flavor you have been looking for. ...Good price and fast order fulfillment.

been making wine for years. and buying in bulk as this product is will save you cash. i do double bag it with a ziplock once i recieve it to ensure the bag doesnt get punctured and leak. i recommend you do this as well. all acid blends are not the same. the manufacturer mixes many types of acids to acheive a blend..citric,absorbic,malic,and tartanic are the usual ingedients. you can make your own out of these if you wish. but it far easier to buy acid blend. remember this is a crytal form of many acids and can cause skin and eye irritation if you dont handle this product properly. be careful. make good wine and enjoy. have 5 carboys fermenting as i type this using this product. stopped buying 6oz cans and purchased this in bulk. carl

Great for Winemaking

This LD Carlson acid blend dissolves easily in room-temperature water, tastes good so far as I can tell, and works well. It sinks quickly, though, and can stay clumped if not stirred. So, for winemaking, I recommend dissolving it with a whisk in a little water first rather than putting it right in the wine/must and then trying to stir it in. It will last me quite a few batches of wine.

A JD carlson Acid blend as described. It worked to bring my mead's pH down as expected and I couldn't taste any off flavors added by the blend. The sealed bag is good, though a "lock" style sealing bag would be nice, but all things considered its a good item and will be top of the list when I am ready to get more.
