First thoughts.
Tiller / motor guide just arrived. For the price I’m not upset at all. Product is as described. The telescope works easily and I haven’t had any issues with the handle coming off yet but I plan to add some grip tape to the handle anyways.

Handle adjustment joint slips when twisting
Too flimsy for my 2.5 hp outboard. Clamp on outboard handle stays in place, but the joint to tighten extended handle to itself doesn't hold. If you have an outboard, buy a metal extension handle.

Great product, easy to install and use.
The product was straight forward, simple and easy to use. Unfortunately the handle grip became loose on first use and it turned out to be a case of nearly no adhesive on holding in to the main part of the handle. This became problematic when trying to decrease speed. I had to apply a good second g of adhesive myself to fix it.

Works with modification
Used this on my 9.9 outboard. Fit over the handle just fine after removing the rubber grommet. Seems to tighten down well and leaves access to the kill button. Plenty long enough as well. The bad: The rubber handle at the end is held on with cheap adhesive. It pulled off the first time I tested it. Ended up using good adhesive and now it's fine. To extend the handle, you give it a quarter turn to loosen, then slide to length, and quarter turn again to secure. Problem is, running to motor you turn for throttle which then loosens the shaft on this thing allowing the handle to extend/retract again. Drilled a hole and put in a through bolt at my desired length. Problem fixed. It's cheap junk. But ya get what you pay for.

Perfect for extending the motor handle
We did have to wrap our handle to thicken it so the extension piece would fit - now it is perfect.

Hot garbage
Rubber handel came off right away. Glue didn't hold at all and came right off the damn handel. When letting up on the throttle it just loosens the hold from retracting and retracts. Definitely not the only one this had happened to.

Check the rubber grip before using. Mine was not attached to the handle... I had to add more glue.
Otherwise, it's a great product and does what it says.

Works great after I fixed it
Right out of the box the grip came off. I applied strong glue and let it cure. It’s fixed but come on shouldn’t happen. I use it on a Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke and it fits well. I had to take out the rubber sleeve that is inside but that’s ok. So far I haven’t had any issues when the handle is extended with it coming loose. We’ll see how it holds up.

Exactly what he was looking for, good quality
He now has a small boat, this will help run the motor.

You get what you pay for.
Very flimsy. It would barely tighten down on the throttle handle. I was out at the lake when I installed it and I ended up having to put a hose clamp on it to make it work.

Would need to modify like putting a few screws in it to work right.
Without modifying the handle like putting a few screws in it, it does not tighten enough when the length is adjusted, to not slip when trying to power up the outboard. Also the foam handle at the end slips/turns if you don't squeeze it enough to not slip/turn.
