Mic sound pickup is poor, audio quality is poor and cord is too short.

I purchased 6 of these, so it is not just a defective one and the radios (6 Midland BR200's) work great without the headsets. They do look nice, but do not function well at all. The sound pickup through the mic is not good. If you have it clipped to your collar or lapel, it doesnt hardly pickup you voice. If you hold it closer, it distorts you voice on the receiving end. The audio quality in general is not good either in the earpiece. I have good hearing and it is hard for me to understand what is being said. Some of the older gentlemen that i purchased these for cant understand AT ALL. I had gotten these figuring that they would be best for the harder of hearing since they are directly in your ear, but I guess I was wrong. Lastly, the cord is too short. I am 6' tall and when i clip the earpiece to my collar and run the cable down to my radio on my belt, it barely reaches and pulls on my shirt when I run or bend down....I am disappointed to say the least, I was hoping for so much more.
