The Dive Computer

I've had the Cobra 2 for +15 years. Changed the battery x3 and now my son has it. So with the Cobra 3 it larger font for older eyes it works great and has additional features over the Cobra 2. Great dive computer. Highly recommended.

Do a checkout Dive before using this on your vacation.

Used my NEW Cobra 3 first time, first dive, water got into the battery compartment and damaged the computer, did not even go on. Haven’t heard back from the seller yet. Going to NC Thursday without a cobra 3 computer. Very Disappointed!

Suunto's software is its weakness

I have owned this computer for a few months and used it for 28 dives. If I could return it, I would. It functions well enough in the water, although I had to cut one dive short when the Cobra3 went into gauge mode. My frustration with this computer is with the software and the interface between the Cobra3 and the laptop. Suunto's DM4 software was functional, but minimal. They recently released a new version, DM5. Since upgrading to DM5, the interface between the Cobra3 and the laptop has been temperamental and frustrating. Several phone calls to Suunto's customer service center have not helped.

I have used this computer on hundreds of dives and this computer is awesome! It has always worked flawlessly! I have been using it for 4 years and I am still learning all that it does. Deco stops, recommended stops, mandatory stops, it is so easy to use. The only thing that is useless is the built in compass. I bought a dedicated Suunto compass. Other than that, this computer is flawless!
