Well made but a little bit too small.
I like the style and design. I wanted a small bag to hold everything I normally store in my pockets. It mostly fits that need. There are some small ways this bag could better for my needs. The strap and buckle is overkill considering how little it carries. It could have used a thinner strap to save weight. I wish the bag was a little taller I have a large phone and it just barely fits. Making it slightly taller would also mean I can store some items vertically. I carry a small wallet and a small pouch of similar size. They both have to overlap some horizontally which makes the bag fill out more instead of staying slim. A half inch more hight would be all it needs for me. (see Pic where vertical wallet pops out zipper) Because it lacks extra room I have to be careful when opening it that items won't fall. Additionally I would have appreciated a quick access pocket on the back, for phone, or metro card, and / or a pass through for tucking straps in. While I think bag could be improved it's still a very good bag, organization inside is good, looks great. It is very well constructed, especially for it's price.

Perfectly Sized Lumbar Pack
So I've included the Mountainsmith Tag that I got when I purchased this item, which is to say that the amazon listing is incorrect. This will only hold up to 1.1L of volume. However this is perfect for me, as I don't like to lug around too many things when I travel, and sometimes I don't need a huge bag. I can put my sunglasses, point and shoot camera, ridge wallet, car keys, ear buds, phone, and a multitool if I want. It is snug when I zip it up, but it works. I was looking at the osprey ultralight stuff waist pack, but at almost half the price (on Amazon), this Groove Lumbar Pack works best for me.

Nice bag, not remotely 2L
Nice product, great quality for the price. Close to perfect for what I need it for. Pros: - Compact, cool little hip pack Cons: - Probably 0.75L capacity (see pic with 16oz cup) - Marketed as shoulderable in their photos, but it doesn't lay well as a sling - Strap adjustment to a larger size is a little bit of work All in all very good value at $20. Docking the star for 2L being an absolute lie. Likely will not buy a product from them again based solely on that.

Perfect size and snug lumbar fit.
Perfect size for phone, wallet and keys. Fits tight to the lumbar and is hardly noticable under your shirt. I also have the vibe, and it sticks out and is not as easy to access as the Groove.

Just Right
I needed something just to carry a couple of items. Phone, smokes and lighter, reading glasses, spare change. This is perfectly sized to do that. Its lightweight with quality construction and materials. I would buy this again.

Not symmetrical
Maybe I got a faulty product because the 2 sides didn’t match up. It feels weird when worn.

Attaching the base of the Strapettes is just plain stupid
I am replacing a Mountainsmith lumbar bag I have had over 15 years along with Strapettes for the bag. I was hoping they would have improved the Strapettes but, nope, same stupid design from 15 years ago attaching the base straps. The tops just click into the shoulder strap buckles, on problem but the bottoms you have to pull the adjustment strap out of the Strapettes and snake it through a d-loop on the bag, then resnake it through. For the old bag I bought a 3rd party buckle so that I could quickly remove the Strapettes and reconnect the shoulder strap... which is how this should have been setup from Mountainsmith. Yet their solution is to permanetly attach these straps and not allow a quick switch to the shoulder strap. A very STUPID design! I give it a third star just for the fact that they have the option of Strapettes to begin with, other bags don't but after 15 freak'n years you would think some engineer at MS would have figured out a quick swap out mechanism.
