Not waterproof at all. Poorly made.

This does the job it's meant to do, feed my chickens when I'm away for a day or two. But it's not waterproof in any way. The first sign of rain and all of the food inside is stuck together from the moisture and I'm left cleaning it out. Not what I wanted to do. Especially as it's advertised as being waterproof. It isn't. Let down.

Great for feeding ornamental ducks

Although smaller than I anticipated, this feeder is very well made, rain-proof, and sturdy (or it won't tip over). Just enough grain is available so there's plenty to eat but there is no wastage. This feeder seems to escape the notice of wild birds because of its design (they don't like stainless steel box feeders it seems). This feeder is perfect if you keep ornamental ducks such as teal or shovelers or mandarins, as they feed sporadically and often at night, and sometimes it's a struggle to feed them and not the starlings! Can strongly recommend!!

A reasonably good design spoilt by the dimensions

A reasonably good design spoilt by the dimensions. It's so narrow, only one hen can feed at a time and my cockerel can't get his head inside because the hopper is in the way. It should be twice as big. Really not that useful to me, but might suit bantams or small birds. Note: mice, squirrels, rats and birds can still take food from the tray.

Good value for money

A good sturdy item. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend to anyone with chickens.

Good idea, but needs refining to be usable.

Sent back as it’s not watertight. I acknowledge that the description does not say that the product is fully waterproof, but I don’t see how this feeder can be used outside. Rain will get straight in from the top as the lid has gaps at the edges and spoil the feed.
