Excellent loppers - cut easily and comfortably
Now we are older my wife and I have taken up gardening (much to the chagrin of our landscaper) and my wife wanted to trim some bushes/trees that were just too big for secateurs to cut. So I read many reviews before purchasing these loppers as the bushes were fairly dense and did not have much room to use a ratchet type. My wife used these loppers- did not want or need my help - and thought they were great. Sharp and with comfy handles So I decided to trim some trees that were overhanging part of the drive. Being sceptical of the capacity I used them on some 1" branches with no problem. As they worked so well I tried a 2" branch and it cut that too and cut a couple more the same size. I measured the branches to check the size and they were a full 2 inches. I'm not sure why folk are having trouble with cutting bigger stuff. Maybe it is arm strength? I am fairly powerful in the arms and shoulders so maybe that is why I could manage but, then again, there is good leverage on the handles.... The handles seem durable and are comfortable by the way Problems. The grips on one of the handles seems to slide up the handle a little. Not a lot but maybe 1/2 inch. I daresay I could fix it by taking off the handle applying hairspray on it and re-installing the grip but it is not much of an issue. Down the road it might be more irritating. Dock 1/2 a star perhaps? Shipping - Yes, I know I can report on this separately but as I'm writing a review I will just comment on it in passing. The handles were scratched on one side where the sticker is on the handle and the sticker was damaged. Not enough to score the underlying metal but it made me check the loppers to see if I had been sent a used set. No sign of usage so I can live with a torn sticker for a tool that is to be used in the garden. As the loppers arrived in an undamaged huge box about 5 times the size of the loppers the damage was not done in shipping.

Sturdy, Easy Cut, Loper
I bought this Corona SL 32" Dual Cut Loper as a gift (with the sharpener tool) for someone who had used mine and loved them. I've had a pair for a few years now and thy are very sturdy, making clean cuts on branches up to 2". The 32' length allows good reach. I keep my lopers clean and sharp and they get a lot of use in my large landscaped yard. The only negative for some may be that they are heavier than some models. However, I am a petite 72 year old female and they are no problem for me to weild! And, they are definitely worth the price.

Works well for years if you don't abuse it
The blade is very strong and the anvil part has a clever shape so it works very well. The blade on our previous trimmer got tweeked so it would not cut well and I had to straighten it repeatedly. The blade on this stayed true and sharp for years until I broke the handle trying to cut a Christmas tree trunk that was really too thick for this tool. I bought two tools identical to the one I broke so my daughter does not have to borrow mine.

Soft blade is concern, but overall positive
I bought this lopper after breaking the handle of a different model. The steel handles were thus a selling point. Overall I am happy with the purchase. Didn't give 5 stars based on following observations: Three observations: 1) While the cut opening is technically 2" max, only superman could close it on anything but the the lightest material. Assume 3/4" usable. 2) The cutting edge is surprisingly soft. I dented by cutting a dead branch. It would be interesting to know Corona's rationale for such soft metal. 3) While the steel handles are unlikely to break, the weight of this lopper when held overhead at full stretch is significant. This should be considered if you are not pretty strongly built and looking to clear small tree limbs for lawn mowing (as I was).

Well I wanted to give it the benefit of doubt
So, I did see a coupe reviews where they showed their blade had gotten dented. I still went ahead and bought it because it’s a reasonable price, it’s been about 5 days since I’ve got the loppers , been using it quite a bit but now it’s got a dent just like the others , and I get that people will probably argue that it was abused or I was cutting limbs far to thick, but just take a look at the spot on each review with a dent, all the same spot seems more like a flaw. And I’d also like to add that this looper is pretty heavy, and the grips slide/rise up very often :/

Blade broke.
I had 3 bushes to cut down, and used this product to do it. About halfway through a 1.5" branch, the blade got stuck, so I started trying harder to push it through. Eventually it became clear that I wasn't making any more progress, so I opened up the loppers and found that the blade had warped, chipped, and cracked in three different locations (one warp, one chip, and one small crack), and now they don't close properly. I'm a pretty big guy, so I'd guess I put more than the expected amount of force into the tool, but I still think it should have been made stronger. Before breaking they were very smooth and easy to use, and I used the tool to finish the job so it's still technically functional, but again due to the warp they don't close properly anymore. I'm pretty sure I can file out the warp, but the crack has me concerned enough that I'm not likely to bother. I don't want to create shrapnel the next time I try to cut down a bush.

Worth the money!
As earlier reviews stated, this is a sturdily constructed, no nonsense clipper that cuts thick branches cleanly and appears as if it will last a long time. I considered the Fiskars line at my local home improvement stores and the Corona looks and feels better made. Also, I did not have to open my arms uncomfortably wide(as was a complaint with the Fiskars) to cut thick branches. Time will tell if this clipper is worth a 5 star rating.

Super lopper
Heavy duty bypass lopper. I am not much for adjustable fiberglass or plastic handles. This unit has a forged steel cutter and tube steel handles. The handle grips are dipped on so they never spin or turn in you hands. Four stars because the cutter blade developed a small chip in it on the first use. I was very careful not to twist or torque the handles when I was cutting. Fortunately the cutting blade can be sharpened.

Not great.
The two stage cutting jaws is a bad idea and catches in the jaws. Better to get the single stage cutters. Temper of the jaws not the best either.

El pico no es muy adecuado
Me parece que la firma del pico impide algunos cortes ya que a veces no abraza bien la rama, además de no tener la fuerza en el mango para hacer el corte de un solo tajo
