It's Fine

This wine corker seems to be made decently well. The main body is plastic and the screw, levers, and gears are a metal. The mechanical action is pretty smooth and functions as intended. The metal components are a little bit looser in the plastic housing than I expected and I could see this leading to a failure at some point down the line but probably not any sooner than the normal life of a corker. For this price point this is a fine corker and there isn't a reason to avoid it.

Easy to use, smoothly extracts corks, need to purchase separate foil cutter

I've always seen the Rabbit Corkscrew and thought it looked really convenient and easy, so it was fun to finally try it. Yes, it does make uncorking a bottle easy! The finish is nice enough, with textured black plastic and smooth metal gearing. It actually has a bit of weight to it that I didn't expect, but it's not necessarily heavy or unwieldy. To use, you just place it over the bottle and start turning into the cork. When the levers on the sides lift up above a 90 degree angle, you press them down and the cork pops out. Easy peasy. The only thing I would mention is that there is no foil cutter on the Rabbit Corkscrew, and trying to use the end of the screw as I would on a typical wine key does not work because it is hidden in the large plastic housing. I tried looking it up and Rabbit also sells foil cutters separately. Seems kinda silly to have to purchase a separate foil cutter and find space in your cupboard for two items just to open a bottle of wine. Overall, this item functions pretty smoothly. I would recommend it for anyone who struggles with a traditional wine key, with the caveat that you will need to purchase a separate foil cutter to use it.

Quality Construction

My normal wine opener is a Rabbit, but one shaped like a rabbit head. I love it. This is my first wine opener of this "regular" style. This opener was easy to use. There are no included detailed instructions, so some prior knowledge is helpful. You will need to remove the foil on the wine bottle using a foil cutter or carefully with another sharp tool. Removing the cork from the wine bottle was relatively easy, but removing the cork from the wine opener was more challenging. I'm used to to wine opener just grabbing the cork and being able to remove the screw easily. In this opener, you have to grab the cork and basically unscrew it through the opening in the tool. It's not the easiest thing to use. For a basic corkscrew, this works but I'm going back to my original Rabbit wine opener.

Functions Well

This is a pretty straight forward corkscrew wine opener. My concern going in was that it wouldn't be as sturdy as I'd like. While it's not super sturdy, it's good enough where I can't really complain. I've opened a few different corked bottles to see how it does and it has gone smoothly for each. I'm happy with this.

Sleek, Modern, and Multi-functional Corkscrew

I've been using this corkscrew for a while and overall, I really like it. It's sleek and modern-looking, which is a nice touch. It goes in very smoothly and makes opening a bottle of wine a breeze. However, I did find it difficult to remove the cork from the device after opening the bottle. It takes a bit of force and can be a bit frustrating. On the plus side, it also has the added bonus of being able to open beer bottles. Overall, despite the difficulty removing the cork, I would still recommend this corkscrew for its ease of use and stylish design.

Durable and strong

This is a nice corkscrew. In practical use its been durable and strong. Most any corkscrew can handle a natural wood cork, but I've found the synthetic corks to be much more difficult to use. This corkscrew can handle it with ease. It has the usual bottle opener - I think every corkscrew needs to have this somewhere on it, so I don't give it extra points for that. All better ones have it. It comes in nice retail packaging. Could be gifted. What it does lack is a build in foil cutter, which my older corkscrew had. I can't fault it for that. Overall its a very servicable corkscrew and works well.

Well Made, Easy to Use, and It Includes a Bottle Opener

This is a well designed corkscrew, which centers over the lip of the bottle, positioning the tip of the screw at exactly the right location so you don’t gouge up the cork because you’ve started at an angle. One challenge of using a corkscrew is that you have to ensure that you start at the right place. Too far to the left or right and you’re liable to have the cork break apart on you. This corkscrew from Rabbit works great as you simply place the housing over the bottle and press and turn the screw into exactly the right location. A hefty handle drives the sharpened screw in precisely, causing the two handles to rise to a point where the cork is then easily extracted in its entirety, so you won’t get chunks of cork floating in your wine. I liked it for it’s professional looks and ease of operation. Very easy to clean, the zinc plated metal protects against corrosion and the plastic housing simply wipes clean. Instructions for use are clearly printed on the box with photo-illustrations just to make things clear. Overall very easy to use and attractive. On top of that, they provide a nice bottle opener just in case your friends prefer a different kind of beverage.
