Pitting multiple cherries at a time, oh my

I had purchased a one-cherry-at-a-time pitter a few years ago. I never wore an apron when pitting cherries but should have. I'd remove my top afterwards, Spray and Wash it, then throw it in the washing machine immediately. Once my prior pitter broke, I searched high and low for the exact same thing but couldn't find it. I'm so thankful to have run across this gem! It pits five (?) cherries at a time, without any cherry spray hitting my clothing. AND it is dishwasher safe. At first it was confusing how to take apart the pitter to wash it, but after careful study (okay, it didn't take THAT long), I figured it out. This is one of my favorite Amazon purchases of all time (and I buy way too many things here)!

Easy and fast

I love this gadget. I didn't buy fresh cherries often because of the need to remove the pits, but this makes short work of that job! I had another older gadget that somehow disappeared, so I bought this one. It is far better, catches the pits in a tray so I can make sure all the pits are out, and does 2 more at a time than my old one. The cherries stay whole & ready to eat or use.

saves huge time/labor

Could never go back to paring knife method of pitting after using this pitter. Didn't work quite as described on my too small pie cherries from dwarf tree but performs very nicely on regular store cherries. Five at a time sure beats singles when you have a tree full even though the small ones don't come off quite so cleanly. The pit drawer is also a good feature. Clips securely to your receiver bowl. Check your bowl occasionally for stray pits.

Works as described

I love dark red cherries and unfortunately it is difficult to remove the pits for freezing large quantities. Up until this purchase I was removing the pits one at a time. This Cherry Pitter works fast & easy and I'd much rather pit them 5 at a time. The pits come out clean & land in the bottom tray which is easily removed when done. I am very happy with my purchase.

very easy to use, safer for kids (no metal blade)

Not hard to do it, kids can do it as well, easy to clean, although there are some corners that could trap food if you don't wash it right away. The cherries do not look super pretty after de-pitting, put this is fast, safe, and with minimal waste of fruit. it is also easy to store.

Amazing!!

I have never before felt compelled to write a review of a product completely of my own volition with no prompting from Amazon or the seller. That is how enthusiastically impressed I am with this product. I just pitted 2 pounds of cherries in 10 minutes! My hands don’t hurt, they are not stained purple, and there was considerably less of a mess to clean up than there normally would be. This handy gadget is so easy to use! It requires very little pressure to push the pits out, and it is very easy to clean. I just rinsed it off and set it out to dry. This thing is amazing. I wish I had discovered it long before now. If you eat cherries or bake/cook with cherries, you absolutely have to have this.

Amazing design. Works really well except on supersize Cherries

This is brilliant that it does 6 cherries at once. Currently though, the cherries are very large and the stones don't go through the holes. I can see this breaking if I am not careful. Excellent device though.
