Barely better than the regular "One time use" plasticware

I don't know how it happened, but at some point a few years ago, I built up an aversion to metal silverware. I started hating the feel of it in my hand, and even more so the idea of putting it in my mouth. The sound of metal hitting a plate was also starting to bother me, so I decided it was time for a change. Sadly, there are very little options for people like me in the form of non-metallic tableware. After much searching, I found TruFlavorWare's site, and ended up purchasing 2 sets for my girlfriend and I, with each set including 1 fork, 1 regular-sized spoon, 1 larger-sized "soup" spoon, and 1 knife. These were a bit pricey, at around $30 for 2 sets, but well worth it. Anyways, after moving to a new apartment, I ended up misplacing/losing one of the forks, but instead of just purchasing another set of TruFlavorWare, I decided to look around for something less expensive, which led me to this item. I assumed that since it said these utensils were reusable in the description, the quality would be noticeably better than that of regular, "one time use" plasticware; however, I was wrong, as the utensils are only slightly thicker than the "one time use" stuff. They feel cheap, but not so much flimsy, which is a plus. After trying to use these regularly for a week or so, I decided to just go back to the tried-and-true quality of the TruFlavorWare stuff I'd used before. However, sadly, they stopped selling full sets at some point, and are only selling single forks (you can't buy more than one at a time either; if you want more than one, you have to place each order individually, paying the $5 cost of shipping each time...smh). I can only hope they eventually get the funding they need to start producing full sets again, because their stuff is hands down the best product available on the market. Why Amazon doesn't sell their merchandise is beyond me.

Great Value

I am the kind of guy who reuses plasticware if possible. My "collection" has dwindled over time. With a small but initimate grill out to happen, I wanted a matched set of plasticware. Wanted something nice looking and sturdy but did not want to buy service for 48. This was a great value and met all my needs. Has help us very well in first few uses. Washes well in dishwasher too if you are in to that!

Best Size and Weight for Plastic "Silverware"

I have used a lot of different brands of plastic utensils over the years. These are by far the closest to full sized and they are are also very sturdy. I wish they had more colors to choose from. I would use them exclusively if they had more colors.

Liked them alot

Liked them alot, much stronger than other "hard" plastic cutlery I have purchased. Reused them a few times and stuck them in the dishwasher. They came out OK, ***not sure if doing that is recommended as I never read the package they came in, but it works for me.

Good cutlery, poor packaging

The cutlery itself is good, but the bage it comes in has a small hole on either side about 1cm in diameter. I have no idea why they would do that, because dust and dirt gets through it onto the cutlery.... seems a bit unsanitary.

Strong (Black) Plastic Cutlery

Really good. I purchased these to go with the "Meals to Go" containers Xland Canada 3 Compartment Food Containers. Keeps my family from accidentally "slicing through" them with regular cutlery. We all are not thrilled with cheap flimsy plastic cutlery & these are like the real thing.
