Inspiration in a Box, But Value is Depending on.....
I gave this 5 stars because I paid about $25 for it with Prime and for that it's a great deal. It offers a great way to mark milestones and put in some special memories. What it's Made of: The chalkboard is made of a thin fiber board with a thin chalkboard coating. Think about the thickness of a clipboard or maybe a little thicker and it's lightweight. It comes with four colors of chalk - white, blue, pink, and green. It's all made in China (because people often ask). Usage Tips: - Don't leave chalk sitting on the board. I wipe it with a wet paper towel then a dry one to clean it. - Store it with the plastic film it comes with because the surface can scratch. - If you don't like your own handwriting, you can also take photos with the board blank and photoshop in the letters. I like to put a favorite toy in the picture too. - Stick with normal colored chalk to use. I like the fatter ones because they don't snap when you go to write. Pros: - I really love the board because it lets me make a consistent series of photographs for my baby that are each unique and special. - It's something I didn't have to make from scratch or use any special photoshopping skills to create. - It's easy to use. - It's super cute and your friends and family will love it. Cons: - Not overly sturdy, but for the price you can't expect it to be. - I wouldn't consider it a professional prop unless you are planning on using software to write in the blanks after the fact.

Chalk is broken
I just received my item today. Opened the chalk box and they were split in half. I didn’t have a chance to use them yet.

Huge & thin, but good value
Not very thick... We were very surprised it arrived without cracking or breaking. It's also HUGE. It will be interesting to see our son grow beside it in milestone pictures. Really liked the wording/spacing for writing, and the reusable chalkboard feature though. Will update after we use with chalk markers if it does not work well with them

Our friend used liquid chalk which messed up their board otherwise this works great with regular chalk.

Cute but a pain to write on
This is very cute, but really difficult to write on because you have to use chalk. I forgot how difficult it is writing with chalk! I wish this was available in a white board.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I didn't look at the size when I ordered it so I was very surprised and excited by the size. I wish I would have ordered sooner so my sons first 3 month milestone photos would have had it in them. When erasing I used a wet clean cloth diaper and then dried it with a dry part of it and it erased just fine. I'm very satisfied with my purchase!! It was a very nice touch to his 4 month photos.

Don't use chalk markers on this board!!
I suggest mentioning something about the use of chalk markers in the title. My own mistake was not reading the full item description and using chalk markers. I now can't wipe the marker off the chalk board. So $25 went to waste here because I can not reuse the milestone board now. ???? The chalk provided also did not want to write smoothly and the colors all looked dull, which is why I used the chalk markers.

Faulty - chalk pens stained this
i'm really disappointed. This doesn't seem to be a chalkboard as chalkpens have stained it making it unusable. its also a lot bigger than expected, which i could have lived with had this been an actual blackboard that you could reuse. I have left a similar review for the chalk pens that were recommended to go with this, either one or both items are faulty and should not be used together.

Great record of baby's progress
Bought for our daughter and son in law to use. They love it and have already filled the board in and set it up beside their 3 month old daughter, then photographed her. Wanted to get a board like that when I saw our American niece using one every month beside her baby. Fun and a great record of baby's progress.

Brilliant product
Got this for my daughter's first birthday party, and absolutely love it. Wish of seen it sooner and could have used it each month., but can use it for every birthday from now on. I havent used the chalk, I bought chalk pens as they stand out more, but that's my own personal preference. Also, the board is lovely and big, so you can get quite alot on it without having to write small.

Be careful using chalk pens with this product
Great concept and was originally very pleased with my purchase but I used the chalk pens that Amazon shows as ‘frequently bought together’ and they do not rub off the board so I’m now left with a board I can no longer use. Very frustrating.

I love the board and I used it when my baby girl turned 1 month I can’t wait to use it when she’s 2 months
