Good for inexpensive paint.
Wow! really good for the price. Unbelievable they can sell it for $16! It is capable of laying down a smooth coat of properly thinned paint, but creates a huge amount of overspray, misting, and fogging. This wastes a lot of paint, so it is good for inexpensive paint only. I purchased it for use with POR-15 as I was afraid the POR-15 would ruin my expensive gun. Turns out the POR-15 is easy to clean out of this $16 gun, so I'm going to shoot the POR-15 out of my $$$ gun in the future (it is a Fuji T75G, which shatters the performance of this gun in every way, but costs $400 not including the turbine. I would buy the Fuji again, though, despite the price, it is really that good and worth it.)

They Only Want $15 For This?!?
Edit, 5/13/2017 - Sprayed 24 Kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, ran a 1/4 cup of lacquer thinner through the gun before I started, I sprayed uncut Sherwin Williams pre catalyzed lacquer, practiced for a moment on some cardboard, made minimal adjustments to the air flow and fan pattern and then knocked out three thin coats. I'm not kidding, Thomasville couldn't have produced a better finish than I did and my customers couldn't be happier. The hook on the back of the gun is perfect for hanging it upright so you don't have to worry about spills. I had two drops spill out of the air hole on top of the cup, my fault leaning the gun too far trying to hit some edges, but I sanded those out and sprayed it smooth. I am totally satisfied with this purchase. I have received the gun and have assembled it. I have not yet sprayed anything with it but, based upon what I read in the reviews, it should work perfect for what I need it to do. Cabinets, trim, motorcycle fuel tanks, fenders, etc. The gun feels good in the hand and I am looking forward to the experience. What I'd like to address with this review is the complaints that I have read here. First of all, I bought this for $15. Fifteen dollars. A paint sprayer for $15. Secondly, the paint cup to gun attachment, yes, if you tighten with your fingers it probably will not stay tight. I took a 8" Crescent wrench to it, just enough pressure to twist the hand holding the gun, I guarantee it will not swivel or come loose. Number three, when you put the lid on the cup do not just press it closed, twist it slightly, the top rim is knurled and made for just for this purpose. When you do this, there is no way the weight of such a small amount of paint will ever blow it off and spill the paint. Finally, there is a hole in the lid of the paint cup to allow air in as it empties, so plan ahead and have a place to set the gun so it is upright. It can't spill if it isn't leaned off to the side, you know what I'm saying? Come on guys and gals, fifteen dollars. Thank you, SPRAYIT.

Great little tool, but...
The lid is tight and unfortunately mine had a razor sharp edge in spots. I found up during clean up, nasty deep cut. I will be scuffing the edges dull with sandpaper. I would buy again.

Be aware of the low price, may come back to haunt you.
Just for the record I initially liked the spray gun. I was really impressed with the quality of the gun for the price. I sprayed some catalyzed lacquer on my cabinets and the finish was amazing. I sprayed a whole gallon with no issues. I ended up plugging the gun (my fault) with Teflon and was unable to get the gun apart before the lacquer set up inside. Instead of cleaning, I thought, wow this gun is cheap enough and I like it so I will just purchase another. The second gun that I got I was having the same results as the first spraying a 5' round maple top for a customer. First hopper went of clean and well and I was able to get a complete coat. Waited my 45 minutes, went for a sand and began to spray the second coat. I got about half way through this hopper and noticed a red flake spray out. I thought well, I will just pick it out and continue. Continued to spray and noticed erratic feed. Then, about a dozen red flakes come out of the gun. I stopped spraying and started inspecting the piece, they were EVERYWHERE!!!!! I cleaned the gun and started inspecting what was causing the issue. Apparently when they built the gun they must have dipped the entire gun in the red paint it is coated with. It was in threads and small cavities inside the gun. I attempted to clean the paint from the inside (2 hours worth of work, small brushed, dremel, etc. ) and got most of it out. So far I have spent about 10 hours trying to get the bottom of this table coated including stripping and resanding twice! (5) 3 x 21" belts and 5 orbital sanding pads, 1/3 gallon finish, electricity, and my temper. I could have bought a really nice gun with the time and money I have lost already and been money ahead. Wish it wouldn't have happened. To me this was a very expensive gun.

Good results but seriously flawed paint cup design
After a little bit of tuning I was able to get descent results using this to paint my Suzuki Samurai. I used pretty terrible quality paint but I got descent results, paint was very uniform, not a ton of overspray, no running bubbles or pinholes, as long as its thin enough this will spray it no problem. Long term that paint was a bad idea, but thats not at fault of the gun. I have a 20 gallon Husky air compressor, it was able to keep up with it. The reason I took off one star is that the paint cup is seriously flawed. The cup is made to pivot for painting at different angles but unfortunately mine was loose even when tightened and resulted in cup pivoting and dumping a full cup of paint on the floor not once but twice. I have learned my lesson and I now tape the cup in place when using it. This seriously needs to be fixed

Worth cleaning.
This product did exactly what I needed it to do. For the money it was better than most. It is set up in a conventional air spray format which allows for a finer finish than hvlp or lvlp, that being said if good common since is used, any spray format will work fine with conventional spray being the easiest to get right. As this gun is not perfect, it is well worth what it cost. I can't speak for anyone else's knowledge of air spray systems but, I personally could use this tool for primer, base, and clear coats, leaving a glass like finish. I would recommend this tool to others. Kept clean, this tool will last for a very long time.
