Time will tell on sturdiness

This is a nice collapsible trash bin for the price. It’s very light weight, so a large rock or piece of firewood would need to go in the bottom to make sure it doesn’t blow over/away. I purchased some clips like clothes pins (for hanging laundry on a line) to attach the top of the trash bag to the rim of this bin.

This is not as sturdy as I had hoped

The design seems adequate, but due to a weak spring running from top to bottom, it tends to be difficult to load with leaves without collapsing. It is so light that the wind picked it up when standing empty, rolled down the embankment and had to be fished out of the pond. Not the experience I had hoped for.

Good buy for the money

I got these for back yard gardening and entertaining. They are a perfect size, easy to set up and put away. I keep one up for my gardening trash and clippings all the time. I set the extra one up for back yard bbq's and parties for trash. They could be a little sturdier but they do stand up on their own and are a good value.

good for garage trash

I broke the joint between spiral and top ring the second time I used it. Taping heavily over the joint made it useable again as a garage trash can. This spiral type with metal stabilizers is a goner in strong winds, which we have all the time in the Texas High Plains. I replaced it with this product for litter pickup: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099ZTHWVB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It has a strong, thick plastic ring at the top. I looped a carrying strap around one handle, then put the strap around my neck and hold the opposite handle in my hand and a picker-upper in my other hand. I can zip it partly closed. The advantage of plastic over metal is that I can crush it against my body in heavy gusts and keep the trash in the bucket. Also, I don't put a bag in it in use because I can crush the mouth of the bucket to fit inside of my bagged trash can. The plastic ring bounces right back out.

Clean and Neat

My apologies if I offend you. I do NOT like hanging trash bags on trees. This collapsible trash can is convenient and keeps the campsite clean. I like that you can zip the lid closed. The one thing I wish the manufacturer would add is tabs inside for holding the trash liner. It doesn't have them so that you can zip the lid closed. I solved the issue with the small command hooks.

Basically works fine but

I had a Ryobi branded model and it was great and would stand on its own. Recently bought this one and it’s very basic. It won’t stand straight empty and it expands as you fill the bag and then getting the bag out is a chore
