I didn't want to pay $100 at salon
My hairdresser charges me $85-$100 for my copper tone. I tried a Sally brand few months ago was not good so I ended up got her a week later lol. Now I was ready for a touch up it fades in 3 weeks. So I decided to try 7.4. I put 20 vol on ends and 30 on scalp. Next time I'll do 20 all around. Very happy with outcome.

No need for DPHugh.
I am only looking to cover grays. I was spending 32.00 a box for DPHugh root touch up kit. I'm only covering a few grays, not lifting, only depositing. My hair is naturally medium beige blonde. I was hesitant to try the Pravana Chromasilk. I was afraid to damage my hair. I took a chance and tried it with the Demi developer. Good news for me, I don't like companies like DPHue that overcharge customers because they can. Well, good news for all of us, the Chromasilk is permanent on my virgin hair. It's a tiny bit less opaque than the DPHue but even with the medium blonde, it still covered the grays. Hair felt a little dry right after but the second wash with conditioner, there is no damage to my hair. It's very pretty and it has a lovely sparkle in the sun. I do recommend this. This is a smart dupe with a far greater range of colors. It says demi permanent but I'm several weeks in of daily washing and it's permanent. Save your money. Use this.

Intense copper
This intense copper is the perfect copper for me, almost exactly the color I am going for without having to pre lighten my hair any more than it already was. I didn't think my dark brown roots would take, but they did. It doesn't fade as fast as a box dye would, and when it does fade I just add the vivids to a deep conditioner 2 parts yellow 1part orange and let it sit in my hair for 20 min and then I'm revived!

The best rich brown colour ever created.
Omg! I am never ever ever going back to any other brand of hair colour professional or otherwise. I love this colour so much I am praying Amazon never takes it away. It added such a beautiful rich brown to my dry stresses locks. And yea the other reviews are absolutely right it is much much darker than you expect, maybe it will fade over time but I love it because that is exactly what I was looking for - a deep chocolate brown. It is a level 3/2 colour not a level 4 and parts of my hair were lightened/ stripped with effasol. So if you are using it on dark hair expect it to look like a level 1/2. There was no scalp irritation, no ugly smells, no mess. I can go on and on. Next time I will try mixing some rich red into the brown for more depth. One entire tube with 1.5x developer was sufficient to fully saturate my shoulder length hair. I have very thick hair so maybe that’s why. I used it with L’Oréal 20 volume cream developer and it worked like a charm. At the same price or cheaper than a box dye why would anyone ever choose box dye again is beyond is me.

Perfect hair dye!!
If you are concerned about the integrity of your hair, get this hair dye. I like to make sure my hair is moisturized and taken care of, but like to dye my hair from time to time. I used this dye with ‘zero lift’ developer, and it worked beautifully! After, my hair is shiny and feels healthy, which is amazing considering i dyed it. Highly recommend!!!
