Great product!
These straps are a life saver. Saves us from hitting our heads on the awning.

This will keep me from clunking my head on the awning
Nifty device that keeps you from walking into the awning support arm. Lights up at night. No more headaches for me!

awning alert - good idea, useless tho
our new awning arms are the expandable ones, not the ones that open up with a triangle shape; so it's easy to bong our heads on the arms. saw this in the rv store, and hoped that would work for us. the little red lcd lights are tiny - 8 of them on the hanging down strap. so tiny you can't see them well at night. the strap that wraps around the awnning is velcro, so fits most anyplace you put it. let's say that you leave it on at night, fall asleep, wake up in the morning. you can't see the flashing lights during the day, so it blinks all day long, too. the batteries will go dead real soon. 80 hours sounds like a long time, but most likely the two expensive batteries that run it would need to be replaced often, especially because the flashing lights are so tiny that you can't see them flashing during the day. pretty useless device. better if they could make it solar or something, so one can leave it on for a month day and night. also, most awnings have two arms, and they should sell two in a package. i would return this to the rv store we got it at if we were still in that area.
