You still get greasy!
I've hand packed most all of my wheel bearings my mechanic life (since 1987), so I'm very old school. I wanted to try this unit to see if it would be any easier.... I don't regret purchasing this unit. It's fun to use, but I've ended up just hand packing for piece of mind. It uses a ton of extra grease just to get where it will pack a bearing, grease that could have been used to pack a few bearings. It does have a nice dust cover and does a better job than the manual packers I've used. But since I use expensive sythetic grease it's just not worth the price of losing all that grease that could be utilized!

Grease lightning, life made easy
As a mechanic with 30+ years experience its the little things that make life easier. I bought this for my garage at home because we were putting new bearings in all our trailers. I already have experience greasing bearings using the hand method so I know the mess. So I didn't take it out until the boys did at least one the old way and then saw me take this tool out. The look on their faces was worth it. Anyway, it is well constructed and works perfect, I have previously owned the plastic version of this which had mysteriously disappeared at the last shop I worked at. I clamp it into my vice on my tool box and set up a stainless tray to lay out all the bearings on. Cleans up easy as well !!

Doesn’t seal bearing
Upon first use I notice the base was slightly bend down. Upon putting grease in the tool it pushed most the grease on outside of bearing instead of up right threw the center

Not worth it
Does not work at all, waste of money. Lid never stays on, it’s a bigger mess then the push style

Nope
It doesn’t hold the bearing down tight enough to work properly. Only wastes grease

Very satisfied!
Works great on my dana 70 (1975 F-350 dually bearings)
