Fantastic but much larger than expected and the color isn't the same as in the image
I bought the stunning Espresso Bamboo version and I was so excited and ready to love this...however, I was disappointed and ended up returning. I think the quality and sturdiness seem fantastic and I love that these have foldable legs, the tray edge, and section for other items (i.e., phone, tablet, etc) and this is really a distinction in comparison to many other options out there so I hope your take away is that you ought to get it if considering purchasing this. However, its unfair and misleading when companies do this - why on earth depict an item that isn't the same as the one you're actually selling? Unless there was a mistake, I genuinely do not understand or agree with their idea of selling the Espresso Bamboo version with this nice warm glossy wood tone shown in the images only for a dull, dingy ashy brown that's more like black to arrive. I hope I got an incorrect one. Thankfully I didn't realize how large the Large version really is (not too large you can't use it on your lap but it was just too big to be comfortable for my use on a couch and I'm sure it'd be fine if you wanted to use it as a tray in bed or on a counter) and so I was returning primarily due to a size preference but also largely in part due to the inaccurate photos of the true color/tone. I will be purchasing the Medium option in Espresso Bamboo again and hope for a better experience because I think this is a very affordable and luxurious option out of its competitors but I hope that the seller sees this and rectifies the mistake in the poor ashy brown that shouldn't be this way. If I receive the other version and keep it I'll take a photo and readjust my review. Overall I still think its worth purchasing and is a great option but if you, like me, had wanted the warm glossy brown, I would instead opt for another color until they fix it

Sturdy and beautiful
I originally purchased this because I like to work while sitting on my bed, so I needed something that brought my laptop to a comfortable height. It turned out to be a lucky purchase, because the week it arrived, I came down with COVID and was hardly able to get out of bed for a week. I used this desk CONSTANTLY--to help me sit up and eat more comfortably, to keep my water and medicine accessible since I sleep on a floor futon, to raise my laptop so I could see the screen and watch shows while lying down, etc. It really does everything I need it to. I was a bit worried it would be made out of poor-quality wood or particle board or something, but it seems to be solid wood and it certainly smells like natural wood, which is absolutely delightful. The color is lovely too. It was definitely worth the price, because I'm going to be using it for a long time!

Not that sturdy
Overall the lap desk has been great for working on the couch. However, the cross rods on the legs have both popped out of their socket with less than a month of use. I can fix with some wood glue but it’s not as sturdy as I thought it was originally.

Post surgery must
I had surgery and required a lot of bed rest. This was great for eating, doing some writing, placing my laptop on for work and movies, and for holding items off to the side my bed wouldn't keep stable. Ill use it again for when I'm sick or a family member is sick. I would only improve the body space. I'm 5'2 and 115lbs. Not big and I didn't think there was a lot of space.

A bit smaller than expected but sturdy!
I bought these trays for our RV and they work well. After a month of every day use, the legs are still as stable as when we received them and the bamboo is solid. They are just a bit shorter in depth than I expected so be sure to double check the measurements before you buy. I like the ledge to rest my cell phone on so I can read while eating. There are two positions when using the ledge so I use the top position for my cellphone and my husband rests his SurfacePro on the base of the ledge The trays work well with the legs closed and with the tray resting on my lap as well.

Treat yourself
I love using this on weekend mornings after sleeping in. I like to set up a full breakfast and sit up in bed and watch my iPad with coffee and all the treats! Quality item

Beautiful but warps easily
This tray is beautiful and convenient, and I love the back tray for phone/iPad (it also fits a notebook well). The tray did crack on me after only a couple weeks though, and puckered out so it isn't level. I still use it and like it, but I am disappointed by the crack.

I really needed a solid tray for eating and drinking in bed, I was taking care of an injured person on bed-rest and this tray was a freaking life-saver. The legs fold up and stay folded up when you move it around. It's sturdy and solid but not heavy. The little ridge is perfect for tablets or phones. The high sides ease anxiety about crumbs or drinks going over the edge. I think it's worth every penny and looks lovely. Now I find myself using it more often, it's great to have on hand- you can surprise a loved one with breakfast in bed, or use it to bring soup and ginger-ale to someone under the weather.

Large, sturdy and easy to clean
Purchased this for a toddler who wants to have a 'desk' to eat at and 'work' at. She loves it. The screws/bolts attaching the legs are really well tightened and the legs really hold well when unfolded. The bamboo is nice and light, which is good because it is quite large, in terms of surface area. The device notch/ledge is really good. Keeps it protected from potential spills if you're eating and also helps it stand easily. My only complaint is that some of the edges could have been sanded down a bit more, they're quite pointy/sharp.

Update Review: It’s a SERVING tray, to get wet or spills is expected so you think is well varnished. On my first spill of water the tray split up in half. NOT WORTH THE PRICE! Quality is first thing when I look for things to buy and this tray failed! First Review: Great!!!! Big enough, nice color, no assembly required, very strong! Recommend!
