Recycle bags

I didn't know that recycling bags existed lol. I was told you can get them Amazon. We only have 1 recycling bin and for the recycling it gets picked up once a week so it gets overfill. These bags came in handy I place mostly bottles in it since it takes up room in the recycling bin. Definitely keeps it organized. I recommend it.

Really Hefty?

We have been using these Hefty recycle bags for decades (not kidding) and were satisfied with the quality and the price. Recently we noticed the bags got thinner and tore much easier which didn't happen before. We had only shredded paper in the bag when it tore at its seams. Imagine all that fun cleaning the micro shreds of paper all over the floor. We had to use two bags instead of one which makes mandatory recycling expensive. It's understandable that manufacturers are trying to cut cost and raise their prices but if the quality suffers, why would an educated consumer in their right mind continue to buy their product?! If that's the case, we might as well just order generic bags at a lower price. Conclusion: if you can get these bags on sale and they are priced competitively, go for yours. Otherwise, look somewhere else. Apparently, brand loyalty is not appreciated by Hefty.

I thought these would be much better than not having recycling in a bag to get it to the street. Sadly, my trash/recycling local service does not accept these as recyclable. So it would have been a simple solution but not for me.

I got a very light bedbug situation. Actually 4 bugs and one dead bug. For the Treatments I had to bag everything I own and seal the bags. These bags are perfect for that!

Hefty Shredded paper recycling bags

Hefty Clear recycling bags. PROS Affordable box of 60 pull string tie bags arrived quickly and intact. These bags are uncoloured and clear. They are smaller than a full size blue recycling bag, being about one-half the size. When full they tie easily by a pull closure. They are easily removed one at a time or by the handfull from the box. CONS:- for my use.none OUTCOME:- I purchased this product to hold shredding. I wanted a bylaw recycling accepted smaller clear bag that would fill up quickly, that was wide enough to fit the shredder basket inside for emptying, hold 2 or 3 full bins of shredded paper then be ready to be put out basically full without wastage. . I wanted an end to huge partially filled bags of shredded paper sitting around forever waiting to be filled up. These recycling bags are the perfect size for my use

Good enough... A bit thin and less durable

These are fairly economical budget friendly bulk box of blue bags for recycling. They fit perfectly in proto typical full height under cabinet drawer trash bins. The draw string is nice and stiff and wraps around the bins just right The only issue I have is they're fairly thin. They will puncture if any sharp objects like corners of plastics make tension with the bag. Thereby causing leaks from cans and bottles. I certainly with these bags were a bit more durable. For the cost and sheer number of bags, I still like these bags. I dislike paying too much for a bag that goes right into trash recycling. They're good enough for me. There is no scent at all which is ad advertised. So that's a good thing.

These are plastic bags. Hard to imagine what one writes for 5 stars vs. 4 - the bar isn't exactly high. But they have a nice draw string and a good balance between thickness and strength. They fit nicely (pay attention to the gallon measurement). I now start all conversations with 'what kind of bags do you use? Let me tell you about the Hefty Recycling Trash Bags...'

Very thin & flimsy!

These bags are definitely not hefty! They are alot thinner than what I was expecting, and tear very easily. I was hoping to use them for recyling, but it can't withstand the glass bottles, card & plastic packaging (with hard edges), etc. I am now only using them for empty pop bottles & cans....nothing with sharp edges, and that don't have alot of weight. Disappointed!

Disgusting odour!!! So much for unscented!!

I have ordered these a few times with no issues. However, last box that came seemed fine until I opened it....it stinks like some kind of animal urine and cologne mixture, causing instant headache and absolute disgust! It is extremely POTENT STINK!! Stay away from these for awhile. Since I can't reach customer service through the options menu... I thought a review was needed. I have removed this item from my subscriptions. I'd gladly return them, but I am not taking anything that smells so badly to the post office...they are going in the garbage...outside!
