Made fine but that gas cap is a bummer.
Gave up on venting the gas cap. One of those stupid EPA caps, it just would not vent. Had to spend $16 and buy an old fashioned cap with a regular screw vent top. You have to take out the fuel gauge fitting to screw in an appropriate quick disconnect. Works fine but noticed that the fuel gauge broke. No biggie for me as the tank is under a rear deck and you cannot see the gauge anyhow. Maybe I take it apart and check. Maybe not.

Good for cost, nice size.
Leaks fuel through line if left pressurized.

Good product, well built- but expensive like all the rest.
All marine fuel tanks are entirely too expensive for what they are imo. That being said, this tank is well made and serves its purpose. It fit a small area in my boat that other tanks wouldn’t. For that purpose, I think it exceeds expectations. It also has a nice fuel gauge. Don’t let quality stop you from buying this tank. It’s very well made and every bit as good as the others. It’s a niche market for these small tanks, so if you’re looking for this one you probably need this size. Take the leap!

Nice little tank- depressurize prior to connecting
Very handy little gas can. Had a bulky 6 gal but it was always in the way. Th instructions explain how to depressurize the tank- LISTEN TO THEM! Not only when opening the tank but also before connecting either end of the fuel line. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of five is that the intake tube inside the tank does not seem to be able to empty the tank. I Ran out of gas with about a half gallon left as the filter/intake is "up the tube". That having been said I recognize the benefit of this as well.

Should be ashamed of themselves!
In order to install the Yamaha quick connect the fuel gauge/pickup housing needs to be removed. If it was a 1/16th of an inch taller would not have to remove it! Just genius, brilliant. So ok no big deal, I have a couple hundred screwdrivers and bits and the right size star driver. After installing the quick connect the screw is 1/3 under the connector. Meaning the driver has to go in at an angle which is the absolute wrong way to drive a screw. If you have to remove this a few times rotate the screws as I am sure they are not hardened and the heads will quickly strip. What is the matter with these people, If this was not the dimensions I needed I would send it back!!! If I have to drill a hole to vent IT IS GOING BACK!
