works
I know this doesn't have great reviews but mine lasted about 2 years on my sailboat in Florida waters. Wasn't able to make changes so just used the same product that fit the holes and already in use plugs. As cheap as it is, it is worth it.

Inexpensive but should have a better protective cap.
Yes, these are cheap but the cap needs reworked for durability. I do not mind spending the few dollars ever so often but a cap rework is due! The plug is easy to install and works well but shouldn't be a regular maintenance item on a boat. The flexing of the cap weakens it and eventually fails and poof it's gone allowing water to enter the plug causing corrosion. You have to purchase the entire plug to get a new cap, maybe they should sell this separately?!?! Will I buy another, yes because I will have too!

Seriously lacking craftsmanship!!!
I'm a bit aggravated to say the least. The plug is great in theory. I liked the idea of being able to quickly plug and play with my front mounted fishfinder. I wanted a clean, no holes, wireless look when I wasn't using the fish finder. And water proof. And this plug would be fine! "If"!!!! The damn plugs pins wasn't loose! Over a 1/16's of wobble in both the males pins and the female pins. They pretty much used a drill bit to BIG!!! To bore a hole thru the plugs ends and over drilled there pins holes!!! Now I've got to glue the pins in or epoxy them in where they will not pull out, or fall out and will not get water into the connections. Needless to say the connection is not solid! And maybe touching each other inside the housing. It's like this!!! If I had to pony up the cash And go out and BUY!! Tiny tiny tiny!!! Stainless bolts with lock washer and nut to mount the plug because it didn't come with any mounting hardware. And I had to buy a 5/8 hole saw to mount the plug thru my boat, and I had to buy a "proper" drill bit to per drill the mounting bolts holes. U tell me y they can't buy one drill bit to make a proper pin hole into there plugs?? Now I'll have to go buy epoxy to seal in the pins into the plastic plug ends. And I hate messing with epoxy I end up getting more on me then what I'm trying to glue. If it wasn't for the lack of craftsmanship this would be a good way to plug and play.

Good luck, you are going to need it.
I had heck trying to put wires in and getting the screws to clamp down enough to hold them in. The screws are in so tight and I stripped off the phillips head top trying to get wires attached. I ended up using the screws from the receptacle. (didn't need anything but the plug, had to buy a set so two extra screws, luckily.) The one I was replacing did the same thing, so this is twice. I'd love to find an alternative. It's for my boat, and now the light shorts out and I have to try and jimmie it into connection to get the light to stay on. It flickers like a disco. Not good for anchoring. I don't think you can find another, but I'd sure try.

Screw heads strip after 2-3 uses
Be very planful when installing these, there is no indication of the polarity anywhere in the product documentation so I decided to reverse the way I had them originally wired, Later decided to add shrink wrap over the fitting, but by the third loosen/tighten cycle the soft metal screw heads had stripped to the point of uselessness. Would not buy again. Also the mounting screw hole sizes are undocumented anywhere but smaller than a #6 (really Seadog?) yet there are no screws included, so multiple trips to find those were necessary.

Small Screws strip
Wasted my money on this one. Out of the package the small screw heads in plug stripped. Needing this part to replace a plug on my boat navigation light. Looking online for another source for this outlet/plug combo. Good luck if you purchase!
