Only 4 stars because I have only been using it for a week or so. I think I love it. It has 3 fan speeds and the first 2 are almost noiseless. I like to sleep with a fan so I put it on the highest setting at night time because I like the background noise. Filter is really easy to put in place. I haven't had to change/clean yet. My bedroom is above my kitchen where I do a lot of cooking and I have 4 dogs so I was looking for a smell eliminator and seems to be doing the trick. Very sleek looking too - not at all intrusive into your room decor.

Basic air purifier WITH FILTERS AVAILABLE!!!!!! UPDATE 2021 filters!

This is a basic hepa purifier with a UV light to kill bacteria, germs, and viruses. No bells and whistles other than a timer, which is what I wanted. The filters are inexpensive and readily available here on Amazon but cheaper on ratuken. You can search for MT-8400SF and the filters will come up ($13.50 - $20 each) The UV light is replaceable on this unit for when that blows out (rated for 20,000 hours) I own 3 of this unit (PSLAPU35) , the vava (VA-EE004), and Oregon scientific (cf8410). If you happen to read the low reviews for any of them, people are giving them 1 star ONLY because they can't find replacement filters (or don't know what to look for) They are available though!!! The mt-8400sf will also fit the invisiclean Aura IC-5018 and Sensa IC-5120 and the Ivation (IVAHAP300) It is a 3 in 1 replacement filter that fits many different purifiers. No, I do not work for or represent in any way lifesupply. I just purchased their filters and have read countless reviews of people not being able to find or purchase filters at a reasonable price. It's all how the filters are marketed. If you are ever having a hard time trying to find a filter, google all of these model numbers: PSLAPU35, VA-EE004, cf8410, mt-8400sf, IC-5018, IC-5120, IVAHAP300. **********As of Novembember 2019, It appears that lifesupply is almost out of stock of these replacement filters......… Invisiclean has them available directly on their site (IC-5018, IC-5120) This is the cheapest available now. I will say that I HATE to dust. I purchased this to help with that as I have 2 small dogs that were supposed to be non shedding…….the purifier has helped tremendously. I vacuum the charcoal filter every 2 weeks as it is covered in dust and hair. That purifier is in the same rooms as the dogs and I have the others in the bedrooms. The dirty one is near the dogs, the rest are pretty clean and do not require the same maintenance as the one near the dogs. ****************Compatible filters are found here on Amazon, item B0859VX3R2 in the search bar. Am only giving 3 stars because I cannot tell if it is making a difference in the air quality or not. I have it in the bedroom and I sometimes still wake up with my sinus blocked. I had another brand before and I could tell the difference in the air, it just smelled different and my nose was always clear when I woke up. Unfortunately the other brand quit working after 1 year. Sorry I couldn't give a more positive review at this time.

Well, it doesn't seem to be lowering my VOCs at all, and if it's doing anything it'll require a TiO2 impregnated filter which none of the available replacement models specify themselves as being... But if it's not going to destroy VOCs efficiently, at least I can make conventional box filters fit with just a little work to greatly reduce cost of ownership. The filter space will accommodate a standard 12x12 HVAC filter if the cardboard frame is trimmed a quarter or half inch on one side and the filter material is just 'accordioned' a little. The cost of a standard Merv 13 box filter is about $6 when purchased in bulk vs. at least ~$20 for the generic replacements for this. I've yet to see a replacement filter available from the manufacturer. Other brands have a TiO2 plated mesh that is seated in front of the fabric filter. These have worked very well for me but are unfortunately paired with ozone generating technology which makes VOCs worse and ozone is either on by default or can't be turned off... so they can resume spewing ozone any time there is a power interruption or it will just spew it with the long term affect of increasing 'outgassing' from paints carpeting and clothing.

This is a dandy little air cleaner. It just sits there and does its work, simply, quietly (three fan settings--the lowest barely audible--but I like the comfortable white noise of the highest setting, which is also not that loud.) I have two of these now--the first has been operating continuously for about three months--no problem, no vibration noises, no clunking or other fan problems. Settings are operated by a gentle touch--each shows up with a little blue light on the console when you touch it--goes off when you touch it again. The design is very simple--easy to get the double-filter out to clean it--piece of cake. I just vacuum it once a week or so--'spect it to last a nice, long time. Doesn't take up much room, is sleek and simple to look at, all in all an unobtrusive air cleaner that seems to work very well. Visibly less dust in my two-room apartment (one cleaner in each room, operating continuously.) Can't speak for the longevity, but so far this is the most agreeable air cleaner I have ever owned. Bought a replacement filter ahead of time, too. Now all it has to do is keep going and not bother me. Ever. Oh yes, and I can't speak for the ultraviolet light either, as I have no way to know if it is working or how effective it is if so. Can't run it without the cover on the machine. But the blue light indicates it is on, so am hoping it is.

El aire huele muy bien.

El aire huele muy limpio, fresco y saludable. La unidad es muy fácil de usar e instalar. El aspecto de la unidad es elegante y sofisticado. No ocupa mucho espacio. La unidad casi no hace ningún sonido.

Seems OK. But Returning

Update. Cost of filters just jumped by about 35%. Cannot use the UV Light because seller and or manufacturer have not responded to my questions about O3 and emitting ozone...Poor Service. No answers to serious questions Otherwise the unit is "ok" Quiet. Touch Controls. Decently made... Just FYI there's no way it's good for the square footage that is advertised. It good for a single room. Small to maybe medium. We have this set up in the middle of our small 1 bedroom home until a larger/more powerful unit goes on sale. *Just ordered our new Winix 5300-2. Seller and manufacturer have answered all my questions. So this one is being returned when it arrives*
