It does rust
Overall, so far, this fire pit is great, but it does rust. Unfortunately, it started raining before we got a cover. We discovered any part that isn’t coated rusts. The mesh on the round top screen - the really started rusting, the little “T” part- and its threads - that screws into the rod that holds the grill plate above the flame. Anywhere there are screws or nuts. Make sure to cover the pit in rainy weather to preserve this item.

Excellent pit for the money:
If you are reading this review, my first suggestion is to ignore the negative reviews. Unless parts were missing, this is a breeze to set-up. If someone had a problem putting this together I suspect that they are mechanically challenged or were trying to assemble it with a pocketknife and a straw. From the time I opened the box until completion of the assembly...26 minutes. I could probably have done it faster but I have dogs that insist on supervising and helping out. Uncertain why "manueverability" is a review subject, but the handles do make it easier to move, relocate, and dump ashes than some previous pits I've had. My firepits are normally used to get rid of yard debris, and I just cut everything to fit the pit. My firepits are also great for eliminating those pesky beers that occasionally pile up in the fridge. Also uncertain why "Heat resistance" is listed as a review qualifier...it's a firepit and it's going to get hot. Have I ever had a firepit that melted? Nope. Does it hold wood, leaves, cardboard, sticks, and other materials and help them to burn? Yup, sure does. And while I've used them in the past, it looks a damned sight better than a 55 gallon drum full of pick-axe holes. Mesh screens around the circumference of the pit ensure plenty of airflow while ensuring no embers or ash make their way out of the pit. Mesh lid does an effective job of minimizing upward spark travel as well. It's well-built, looks good, does what it's supposed to, and doesn't leave scorch marks on a wooden deck. Get it!

Came bent and has sharp pieces
The firepit as a whole is beautiful. It's a great value. It feels sturdy, is larger than I'd thought, and is plenty deep for a great fire. It helps to have two people assembling it, especially during the railing part. My friend and I had a hard time even with the both of us. It could've been because one side of the main bowl came bent, but I'm honestly not sure why it was so difficult. Instructions were not completely clear - especially when putting the heat protector on the bottom. Be sure to look at the picture instead of the words, as the pictures show more detail. I love that it has a grill. It also comes with a small fire poker that can be used to remove the mesh lid as well. The small fire poker it came with is not welded together nicely at all. There are crooked parts sticking out here and there - not great craftsmanship, but it looks like it'll be able to do the job nonetheless. I had to buy a cover, firewood grippers/scissors, and a longer poker separately. Take caution when handling the lid and anywhere else the mesh wiring is. It's very sharp and can cut or poke easily. Also around the edge of the lid where metal strips cover the edges, they were not welded together well, and are crooked, so a piece hangs down and is VERY sharp. I thought about sending it back and asking for a replacement, but honestly, with it being such a big box/item, it isn't worth the hassle, and I just decided to keep it. It also had a big scratch on the rim, but not a huge deal, as I'm sure the wood will scratch it up more too with more use. All in all, it's a nice firepit. We'll be enjoying it a lot this year.

Good Value
Thin metal makes the unit very light for moving around, but makes me question its durability and robustness. Helps to have a second pair of hands to assist with attaching / assembling the outer guard ring. Minimal view obstruction around the entire unit (pattern design on fire ring), which allows great views of the fire and coals burning. Campfires look great at the center of our patio.

Heat Shield Perfect For Use Of Pit On A
Low price (which included shipping) for the perfect size fire pit for my deck. Assembly was easily accomplished including installation of the tubular rail that surrounds the pit. The key to assembling the rail is to not tighten the screws all the way until all four tubes are attached to the pit, then tighten them down. This is a KingSo fire pit (Model PG-FP03) which comes with a detachable cooking grill. I did not realize, until after assembly, that the tube on the grill which slides onto the grill support rod was improperly welded to the grill at a tilt; so the grill is not level with the pit and is tilted up about 15 degrees (the reason for only 4 stars). This is something one should check before assembly so that the entire package can be returned.

Nice firepit.
I found this firepit really easy to assemble. There was just one problem. 2 of the bolts were missing from the assembly hardware. Fortunately, I have lot’s of extra screws and bolts and was able to find useable pieces to complete the assembly. Everything worked and we made a great paella cooked over oak wood. All this item needs to be perfect is a little more quality control on packaging. Come on guy’s. I know you can do better. Overall, im very satisfied with this purchase.
