Not what was expected, low suds, weak diluted solution

Very dilute mixture, had to spray a ton on to get any sudsing action. To use $3-$4 worth just to clean dirt off a bike is nuts. Use mild dish soap or car wash soap. Disappointing product from an otherwise stellar company.

Works really well. Cleaned my car's wheels and exceeded my expectations.

The media could not be loaded. This is a relatively large bottle of cleaner that comes with a bottle cap that ou replace with an included spray nozzle. The nozzle has an OFF, SPRAY, and STREAM settings, all of which work. The instructions say to spray (or stream) this onto your bike and simply wipe away after letting this work its magic for about two minutes. It also says that some scrubbing may be necessary for stubborn areas. It says that you can use this for all areas of a bike. Since my bike is already clean, I decided to test this on my car's wheels, figuring that such a test would be a good barometer of how well this would clean a bike. This bike cleaner exceeded my expectations which weren't exactly high to begin it. Nonetheless, I am still impressed by my results. The wheels I sprayed this in are from a used 20yr old car whose wheels haven't been cleaned since I got it over two years ago. The rims were VERY dirty with stuck-on grime that wasn't coming off without some serious elbow grease. After spraying a generous amount of this cleaner on my rims and letting it sit for about two-ish minutes, the grime was just coming off with the light swipe of my finger. This is a large bottle so I was just spraying this on as if it were free, but I'm guessing more reasonable amounts would work just as well. The ONLY issue is that you CANNOT let this dry. Once dry, you can still use a towel to clean off the grime, but it won't wipe off like butter. So take your time if you're using this to clean a car's wheels and make sure you're ready for wiping before this dries since it's not nearly as effective. Of course, since a bike is much smaller and more manageable, you won't have my issues if you're using this to clean a bicycle. I'm easily giving this five stars. I'll be using this to clean my bikes when they need cleaning, but will likely be using more of it for my car wheels and tires which I typically ignore when washing the car. I've attached a video of me using this so you can see this cleaner in action. I hope this review/video helps someone.

Great for shining up a glossy bike, watch for streaks if matte

I have an Aventon Aventure eBike, which has a glossy finish and matte fenders. I tested this bike wash on that bike. I just rinsed off the bike and sprayed on the cleaner, as instructed. It was pretty simple. I let it sit a few minutes, then rinsed it off and dried the bike. On the shiny areas, it worked great. There was a real shine, and it was really clean-looking. On the matte, it was clean, but I had streaks that I had to buff out (rubbing harder than I did on the rest). Once I buffed that out, the matte looked fine. I took off a star for that. Overall, this is a good wash to clean up your bike quickly. I think maybe there should be a mention in the label that for matte finishes, buffing is required.

It's good to have a product to clean the bikes that is made for bikes.

Finally got around to cleaning my bike and it made it much easier. We ride a gravel trail here and it mucks up the bikes after a while. I sprayed it and let it sit for a few minutes and then wiped down and it was pretty clean. I really don't have issues with oil or grease so can't comment on that. We get busy and cleaning the bikes is way down the list it was just nice to see them cleaned up. Would recommend this to anyone to help take care of their bike.

Good, but not magic

I used this on my “around town” bike. It did a great job of cleaning the frame, which wasn’t particularly bad in the first place. It was much easier than what I’ve done in the past, which was a bucket of soapy water like when washing my car. However, it didn’t succeed on one thing, which may have been impossible, and that is completely removing years of brake dust on the wheels. It improved them greatly, but my long term neglect was too much even for this specialized product. Overall, it’s a good product and you’ll get a ton of uses out of a bottle. Just don’t expect it to be magic, and you won’t be disappointed.

Makes cleaning easier

I never clean my bike off, and it gets pretty grimy sitting outside under a tarp year round when not in use. This worked fairly well to get the dirt, dust, cobwebs, and grime off significantly faster than wiping it down with soap/water or dry. And since it’s a spray bottle it’s portable so I was able to clean my bike when putting it into the back of the car on short notice.

Good For Motorcycles Too!

STA-BIL SPORT Bike Wash - Bicycle Cleaning Spray does a great job removing grease, grit, and grime as long as you spray it on liberally and let it sit for a couple of minutes to let it do its magic. I also use it on my motorcycle and it does a good job lifting off minor road grime. Just spray it on, let it sit for a couple of minutes, scrub the sprockets with a stiff brush, and thoroughly rinse.
