Great addition to my home gym.

I needed weights for strength training. These dumbbells were reasonably priced and well made to meet my needs. They are well built with multiple additional weights. I highly recommend these weights for any home gym.

Good cheap weights

These are plastic (including the handles) and sand filled. Mine leak around the stopper. It is the cheap per pound and the collars are easy to take off to change the weights. The handles are a bit on the long side and the plates are large for their weight. I bought these for a second set of dumbbells. They are good for lighter weights. Just plan to seal around the stopper.

The bars are to small, and I have small hands. I am referring to the diameter of them. Outside of that they are great.

40lbs between both dumbbell sets

Keep in mind when buying this product that the set is together 40 lbs (20lbs each dumbbell) the bar is 2lbs alone. That caught me off guard!

Overall, good purchase

Pros: ????️I received all of the weight plates in good condition. Nothing was broken, missing, and the locks twisted on the bar smoothly. You receive 4x5lbs, 4x2.5lbs, 4x1.5lbs and each handle is 2lbs, which equals 40lbs. Others who are complaining about only receiving 36lbs, aren't counting the additional weight from the bars. ????️Exactly what I was looking for at a good price. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a set of weights. I looked around for a while before I decided to give this brand/set a try. So far, I am happy with my purchase. 4 workouts completed by now, and have been able to do all of my exercises without any issues. ????️I found changing the weights pretty quick, even in the middle of a workout. Cons: ????️They are pretty big. I was a bit shocked when I opened the box and seen just how big the 5lbs plates were. This isn't necessarily an issue for me, as they are cheap and get the job done, but for some I can see it being a negative. I am able to do all my upper and lower body exercises, so that's all that mattered to me. ????️The lock collars make me nervous. If the plates rotate at all on the handle, the lock on the ends loosen a bit. A safety concern for sure. I was worried about that during my first use, so I checked and tightened them between each set. ????️I am concerned with their durability. I am delicate with them during my workouts. Not that I am someone to throw my weights around or slam them to the ground, so it isn't a deal breaker. But I do wish I had more confidence that they wouldn't just crack or break if I accidently put it down too hard. ⭐Overall, I'm impressed and satisfied with my purchase. I will update if any issues arise in the near future.

This is the right deal if your looking for 40 pound dumbells.

I searched up down, all around for the best deal for 40 pound dumbells. Almost impossible to find them at a good price as weights are very expensive. I'm so happy I found this & at a great price. The quality of the weights are excellent. Very very good material. Exactly what I was looking for in a set of 40 dumbells & at the right price. I highly recommend this if your in the market for 40 pound dumbells. Great price, great quality.

Lot of misinformation, cheap, acceptable for the price.

Cons: 1. These are NOT 40lbs weight set. They are 36lbs with 2 x 2lbs bars. So you get a maximum of 18lbs of total plates per bar. 2. These are sand/concrete filled weights and NOT solid weights, and bulky. The 5lb plate is as almost as bulky as a 25lb solid plate. Make sure all the seals are in tight when you get them. 3. Wish they had included quick release clasps. 4. Definitely not for heavy lifters as the maximum weight is limited on a single bar due to the bulkiness of the plates. The max would be 30lbs per bar. Pros: 1. If you are willing to overlook all the cons these will be OK for the time being, considering the price. 2. When fully loaded and tightened the bar does feel solid. 3. The plates' weights are pretty accurate. 4. The cover sealing the sand/concrete seems to be pretty tight, but cannot say how well it will hold up.

Very versatile set that's perfect for beginners

For some reason, I decided to start working out with dumbbells a week before the virus lockdown, and these were delivered a day before I started working from home everyday. I've been using these almost everyday for about a month and a half now and I love them. The plates are really easy to switch quickly, and despite what other reviewers have said, I haven't had any issues with the collars needing to be tightened every few days. If you just put them on there tightly enough to begin with, they'll stay until you want to take the off. I think the trick is giving the plates and collar one last spin together when tightening them to really lock them in. The only issues I have are small. The handles are molded and there's a slightly sharp line running from one end to the other where the seam of the mold was, and this can make the weights a little uncomfortable to hold unless you twist them the right way. The other issue is that the sand inside a couple of the weights has loosened up and slides around inside them. I wasn't expecting solid steel plates, but I could do without this. Still, it's not really a big issue. If you can get these on sale like I did, they're well worth the price. Even at full price they're probably still worth it.

Best bang for the buck

These weights are the best deal you're going to find on here. I bought 2 sets just for the extra weights and I've been using them heavily for over a month now and are holding up great. Quality seems pretty decent. The bars are super grippy. These are a steal for $50 compared to all other dumbbells out there.
