Great product to define fence lines and property borders.

Good product.
I was expecting a larger roll than what I received, but in reality it’s just a different width. It’s the correct length and thickness but in a 6” roll, so that’s why it has a smaller appearance. This product was made in Peru, not China as is stated in the “Features & details”, and that’s fine with me, but it would have been better if it was made in USA like it says on the label in the photo.

Strong, sturdy and reusable.
We used this product to mark off a 40 plus acre field for a parking lot. I sat in the back of a UTV with this string on a stick with another person on the other end. Then we stretched it into a straight line and marked out the spaces with lathe. This product could be pulled tight enough to stretch the entire length of 1100 feet into a straight line without breaking. I will certainly purchase it again for similar projects.

Quality Deal
This is the best deal on mason line out there. The color is very bright. I red a review that said the braid was sloppy and the roll was not neatly wound, but that is not true. On the outermost layer there were a couple snags on the line and a couple rows out of place, but it looks like it just happened while tumbling around in the factory before it was shrink-wrapped. Product of Peru- just as good as any mason string I've ever used.

Tough cord for the money - sags when wet, fades quickly in the sun
The color will fade quickly and long reaches of cordage will drupe when wet, like on a damp morning. But, if you don't care about the color and keep pieces short, less than 10 or 15 feet, it can do the job. I used this to make a 5-line fence, and when it is dry, it does a great job - the fence is tight and the cordage is tough enough to do what I need it to do. But I bought this brand because of its color (bright orange) so that the fence would be very obvious and visible but the color has faded quickly. Also, the fence is a failure when the cordage gets wet because the material stretches and the fence drupes to the ground. If your project can work within the above limitations, this stuff can do the job at a decent price.

They lie about the breaking strength
The actual breaking strength is nearly exactly 50 lb. , not the claim of 170 lb. I tested about an hundred times. This is not twisting the threads. When you twist thread it gets shorter and fatter and breaks at a higher weight. Fortunately, 50 lb was perfect for my testing purposes. Two lines together broke at 100 lb, as expected, except if I twisted them, which made breaking strength unpredictably higher. I also tried Amazon kelvar which was rated 80 lb and broke around 23 lb. For my break away device, a predictable 100 lb would work best. But I am tired with false claims, and no longer trust any listing. 900 lb Amazon webbing broke at 400 lb. Beware, buy a crane scale and some ratchets. The problem is not just Amazon, as I broke a brand new rope at 150 lb that was rated 1200 lb from a brick and mortar store last month.

Strong
Used this to repair my horses hay nets. It’s so much more durable than the repair string sold by my hay net company! So far it’s holding up good and it’s exposed to the elements 24/7 plus 3 horses constantly beating on it
