Catching the litter
This mat grabs the litter before my cat tracks it all over. Easy to clean and looks great.

The little stops here!
No more tracking litter bits across the floor or into the carpet. What did I ever do without it? (nearly burned out the motor of my vacuum, that's what).

Great Litter Mat
Heavy/stiff enough that it doesn't roll up like our old foam one (backing on it helps too). Don't know if it was the cat or the kids that did that, and I hope this mat continues to stay put. Does a great job of trapping the litter. Large size is nice to have. We have the grey mat (pic).

Good solution, especially with multiple cats
With four indoor cats (and currently a feline house guest as well), I'm constantly searching for products that will minimize the tracking of litter. Over the years, I've tried various utility rugs and a couple fairly expensive mats specifically designed to catch litter. Each of them helped--up to a point--but none was a solution all on its own. Enter this mat. The surface is kind of like a rough sponge, with lots of nooks and crannies to trap the litter. For the most part, it works well, but it's proven most effective just outside the doorway where I have two litter boxes in the master bath, along with another, different, litter mat. (The kind with two layers that has holes in the top and allows you to dump the trapped litter back in the box.) Since I put it there, the litter tracked into the bedroom has diminished noticeably. Not so when it was the only litter mat in the single box I keep in the other bathroom. I will say that it's kind of big, which is good if you have the room for it, but not so great if you don't. It's also kind of thick, so the bathroom doors won't close over it unless I have them cut down, which is not something I'm going to do for a litter mat. It's also "easy to clean" only if you vacuum it--it's not nearly as easy as the other, two-layer, litter mats I have, with the holes in the top. (No vacuum required to take care of those. Then again, they're a lot more than $15.) All in all, a solid four stars. Very good, probably will work for most people, but not quite perfection.

Definitely Cuts Down on Debris Getting Tracked; Wish it Was Larger
We have two cats and two litter boxes (one for the basement and one for the main level of the house). Our cats are good girls and have always used their litter boxes, but the issue we have seen is that they tend to track bits of litter from the box out of the room and all over the floor and carpet close by. It’s an annoyance and we have to vacuum more often as a result. This mat has helped tremendously, though it would be more helpful if it was even larger. The mat itself is a web of rubbery fibers and doesn’t look dissimilar from a very dense loofa, only close up. The webbing is designed to catch bits of litter from the cats’ feet before they leave the area, so that cleanup is easier and involves shaking the mat and cleaning in the immediate vicinity. It does this well. However, it is not perfect and our cats do track stuff out anyway. We have a larger mat we have been using on one of the litter boxes and the extra size is enough to reduce quite a bit more stuff that gets tracked. It also is not perfect but it does help. The cats do not seem to be deterred by the mat, and the mat is not unattractive. It’s about the same color as a loofa. This mat does a decent job and it’s definitely cutting down stuff getting tracked from the litter box. I just wish it was larger.

Works well, covers a big area.
This mat is well made (with a thick, rubbery consistency) and doesn't move on the floor. It does capture the litter coming out of the box. Beware that it's large - 23.5" x 35". That's great if you don't use a litter hood and you cat(s) can enter/exit from all sides. I use a hood so there's only one entrance and exit. In that case, I find it easier (for cleanup purposes) to have a mat that sits in front of the litter box (and maybe goes a little under the front lip to keep it in place). When I open the lid to clean out the used litter, the smaller mat still captures that fallout but most importantly I can lift it right then and dump the litter from it back into the litter box. Much easier than vacuuming it, shaking it outside or rinsing it off (the latter two options requiring me to carry a mat with litter on it through the house). So for an open box the size is great and will have good coverage for the entire litter zone. For a covered box I'd go much smaller, front coverage only and a mat that I can shake out right into the box itself I don't really have any negatives to post about this product or how it works. I think it's just not for everyone but for those who need broader coverage it will definitely do a good job.

Mostly good!
This mat has some good and not so good qualities. It is much heavier and better equality than I expected. The design is like 1mm fine soft plastic angel hair pasta, melt formed into an attractive pressed Morrocon tile design. The backing is solid so moisture will not seep through the mat. However, the edges of the mat are very thin rather than elevated, so if wetness were to be at the edge it would easily wick beneath the mat. Cat litter does indeed get trapped in the nooks and crannies of the fiber weave of this mat. Sometimes even vigorously shaking the mat does not free all litter particles. My cat seems to enjoy laying on this mat. I am giving it 4 stars rather than 5 for because I really wish it had elevated edges. Cleaning/washing it can also be a bit of a challenge and if it stains I would rather have it in a darker color.
