Weak seams- but great customer service

UPDATE: I called the company because the dummies come with a 1-yr warranty. Their customer service was excellent. They said its unacceptable and unusual for their dummies to come apart that quickly. They sent two replacement dummies even though only 1 of the two I ordered here had ripped. In the future, I'd be more inclined to order directly from the company. Original review: The dummy arrived on Dec 29 and the seam split on Jan 7. We have a bird hunting dog, so we use the 2 dummies we purchased on a daily basis for training. We toss, he retrieves, and barring his learning curve of how to carry it properly, he never plays with it or chews on it. (He's 3 now, so he knows how to carry it properly with the occasional playful toss in the air when his puppyness bubbles up. He's quickly corrected and does it right.) He carries it to us, drops on command (never any tugging), and never has access to it unless he's training. Other dummies we've had from this company have lasted for years with that type of use. I've stitched it with high quality thread, but 10 days of use as it was intended before needing a repair is not acceptable.

Heavy duty stitching and canvas NOT the cheap thin copies. Work great.

My dog loves these Dummies

My dog loves both the dummies I got her. We got the orange one that she had all of 12 mins before it had 2 holes in it. The neutral one has held up so far. I contacted Sport Dog Brand directly and they were very quick to apologize and mailed out a new one that same day. Also, Amazon refunded the purchase right away. I will defiantly be buying these again when needed.

Excellent dummie

The media could not be loaded. This is great training tool! This dummy has withstood puppy chewing and play. With that being said we are practicing that exact opposite with this dummy in particular. It’s been a great learning tool and experience for us both human and dog.

Not as durable as stated.

Very disappointed. Got this for my German Shepherd. It came today and she tore it apart at the bottom seam already. It’s not as durable as I thought it would be. She really likes it too. So if you have a dog who chews up anything, you may want to look for something else. Guess I’ll see if I can fix it with duct tape.

NOT JUMBO!!!

The description said “jumbo”, I even read the sizing to ensure I was getting large ones for my dogs, what I got was “puppy”. I bought two, how disappointing. Change your description ASAP to represent what you’re selling, this is the second issue I’ve had with a Sport Dog product on Amazon. The other were 1” ecollar replacement collars that were described as having D ring hooks and pictured with them, but did not have them. These are both misrepresentations of the product being sold. I rarely write reviews, let alone negative ones, but I don’t appreciate being ripped off.

Great canvas practice dummy for original price

This canvas training dummy is very well made, good and durable. Dog - Mastiff Aggressiveness - moderate chew n tugger I throw at least 20-30 times twice a day (40-60/day) and this dummy has lasted 1 1/2 months. Still throwing but the weight sand did finally all leak out after 6 weeks. Problem: When I first bought it was $13.00 now the price has jumped to $19.00. To me that is an unrealistic price jump, which does deter from purchasing again due to the volume of toys I due purchase regularly.

Fun item for Dogs

I have a 15-month-old black lab. She loves to chase, chew and play tug of war. This dummy has been through it all. Bright enough to be found in deep snow - after she has plowed it under. It was given to her as a Christmas present. Wide enough for her to get a good grip in her mouth and be hard enough to survive a few chomps, tugs and pulls. She loves it. I would certainly buy a replacement toy when the time comes.

Not JUMBO

For my puppy it actually turned out great for her she loves it and can throw it around by her self but when I purchase it’s I was hoping for a JUMBO one to train with her. As seen in photo it look a lot bigger then when you get it This is small and about the length of my hand so when I play one on one with her I get some teeth with it lol just because of how small it is. She loves it to play with it. She throws it up in the air all by her self
