Handy for distressed edges
It’s easy to use on card stock, lighter weight papers are harder to hold when distressing. Gives a lighter more natural look than other methods.

Idea needs work
I was waiting on this product to come in the mail when I had a project going. I know you can tear edges but sometimes you lose too much of the size of your paper to be able to tear all 4 edges. So I looked for a hack. Found video of someone distressing their paper edges using a butter knife, one that had a serrated-but-not-sharp edge. Unfortunately my butter knives don’t have serrated edges. But I was able to find a serrated plastic knife from a kids meal (all my children are grown so this was one old plastic knife) and used it to distress my edges. Was very happy when I received “the real thing” for my next project. However, I think I prefer the plastic knife...

Finger Saver For Sure
This little gadget really saved my fingers from cramping. It is comfortable in my hand and worked well. It does an ok job distressing paper edges but my scissors did a better job. All in all, I will use it when distressing because it works well enough. Maybe with time and use, I'll figure out how to get the same results as my scissors. Either way, it's a great little gadget, easy to use, and saving me from pain in my fingers.

Received a used item
It is a little hard to use, it works but a little tricky to handle and pull while keeping paper firm. Also, it had clearly been used and retuned.

GREAT ONCE YOU GET THE TENSION RIGHT...
Great stuff. Adds a very authentic distressed edge PROVIDING you get the tension right on the card or paper. I've found the best way is to secure one end of the sheet in a crafting vice and gently pull the paper or card with your hand to create the tension. Ragging the edge with the tool, using your free hand, produces stunning results.

Nice but not essential
Not the easiest tool to use from a dexterity point of view, you get better results if the card is pulled taught... (hard to do with one hand) whilst you drag the tool along the edge with your other hand, but does give quite good results. Great for steampunk and distress cards but not essential for all card makers.
