1700W This oven is incredible, So much better than previous generation

This is the third oven of this type we had in the last 10 years. They wear out from use - that is normal. I decided to try the new 1700W oven vs older 1500W we always had. What a difference!!! They introduced different type of top elements in 1700W one. Now oven heats up to the desired speed very fast (vs older one not being able to do so at all or taking 5 mins to get to 350 degrees) Toasting bagel now is easy and it comes out crispy outside and still soft inside (vs dried by 1500W oven) So definite improvement, worth extra cost and highly recommend. (I would recommend 1500W also - it is a great oven, but this one is so remarkably better)

Mini-Oven with a Mini-price.

After my stove broke, I looked into air-fryers but decided to try this and I’m glad I did. Would buy it again! Big enough to cook a whole chicken and strong enough to also. Takes up less kitchen space than a traditional oven and it’s just as powerful. The top does get a little hot though and could have had a better pan in the bottom for easier removal of grease when using the rotisserie or grilling items. It does have a crumb pan but it’s not enough IMO. I have slow-cooked roasts for three to four hours in it and it’s done great. Overall 5 stars. Love it. Surprisingly inexpensive and well designed.

Handle came off after a year and short cord

I really like the function of this product. It does everything it is supposed to do as far as cooking, heating, toasting, etc. My problem is with the design of the product. First thing is that the cord is too short. The second thing is that after about a year, one side of the handle came off and I don't see a way to screw it back on without taking the glass door apart and I don't really see how to do that either. Today, a year and a half later, the other side of the handle came off. Again, when it started loosening, I didn't see a way to tighten it back or I would have. I have reached out to Toshiba this morning and will update on the efficiency of their customer service.

Major design flaws as the handle that opens the door simply gets way too hot.

This review is for the Speedy Convection oven. I ordered this for a college student to make some college food like pizza and light cooking like lasagna. Since I have a Breville oven and this oven is about half the price of the Breville I figured I would give it a try. The good part: The design is very nice. The display looks great. The black design is very classy. Now, the bad part: The pictures make it appear like it has a light. It does not. A bit bizarre and rather misleading. Once you set the cooking time, the timer runs while the oven is heating up. So, if you are planning on cooking something for 10 minutes, it will be down to less than 8 minutes before it is actually hot. Compare that to the Breville that waits until the oven reaches set temp before the timer starts. I guess I'm used to the Breville pulling the shelf out when you open the door. This one does not. Not surprising considering the price point. Just something I noticed. And the Unacceptable part: The handle on the oven gets HOT. I don't mean warm, I mean too hot to touch. I measured the handle temperature with a laser thermometer and I got 140F to 162F. Burning hot. I can not even open the oven without using oven mitts. Which is why I'm returning it. I didn't expect to get a Breville for half the price, you get what you pay for and I was expecting some trade offs. I did however figure the trade offs were acceptable, and for the most part, they would have been. But the handle temperature is not acceptable. I wouldn't feel safe letting anyone operate this oven when the handle it literally too hot to touch. I only ended up plugging it in, and testing it before I discovered the handle issue. So, it is going back unused except for the initial burn in. Which is a shame.

Easy to burn yourself

Product works great but I would not recommend getting it. There is a design flaw in that the metal right behind the handle also gets hot. So if you fat knuckle, you will get burnt. Otherwise, just make it a habit of using a hot pad to even crack the door to look in.

Very good Toshiba oven with easy control panel.

Bought this Toshiba oven to replace the old worn out oven. Easy to use / setup with the control panel for all of the settings. I think Anyone can set this Toshiba up for warming up or cooking food. Highly recommended.

Great little oven, but…

This oven works great. However, it was supposed to hold a 9x13 pan, which is why I chose this particular one, and it does not. I managed to get a disposable one to crunch in enough to get it in but don’t count on using a metal or Pyrex type. I have 12x9 commercial quarter sheet pans that fit perfectly in the grooves of the oven but I won’t be able to bake a cake or do a casserole like I planned. Makes great toast, reheats leftovers, and I can bake 6 cookies at a time.

Best Toaster Oven Hands Down

This oven does everything! It’s a great size, you can cook anything from toast to Pizzas, it also as a rotisserie set up to make chicken, it has a convection oven for the perfect crisp, just like an air fryer. It’s amazing!

Timer starts immediately not after a preheat

Quality control issue a loop of thin wire was protruding from a cooling slot when it arrived. It was possible to tease it back in but it shouldn't have been exposed. Otherwise 5 stars. It cooks differently to previous toaster ovens so I need to adjust recipes etc., I like the fact it remembers convection was last used and the temp, now if only the timer remembered as well. The timer shows seconds on the count down, useful when it's getting close.

My Toaster Oven

I like how easy it is to clean and it is certainly easy to run. But- I don’t believe it should be called a toaster oven. It takes two rounds of running the toast function to toast the bread and then it is not toasted evenly. With only two heating units below and two above and both situated to the front and the back I guess that explains the uneven and longer toasting cycle. I should have noticed that immediately and sent it back. I have done fries and fish and they are ok - wish it came with a basket now that fries will be one of the main uses of it. I was sorry to hear it did not recommend glass bakeware as I have a lot of small Pyrex that I had planned to use in the oven for things like lasagne, small cakes, and other casseroles. I did contact the company to see if ‘glass’ included ‘Pyrex’ as I know Pyrex does handle high heat but they said to contact Pyrex. Why would they not know? You would think they would have tested all sorts of cookware before going to market. So I am calling my Toaster Oven a ‘Small Oven’. It does not deserve the toast word to be included in its descriptive title.
