Not as high quality as previous set of the same design but a very good value for the price.

Like other reviewers, I purchased a set of the Towle “Hotel” stainless many years ago and find that the quality has indeed decreased somewhat since then. However, unless you are holding the old and the new side by side, you would be hard pressed to find fault with the current set of stainless flatware. It is still beautifully made, good quality and weighty. If, like me, you have purchased this set to expand your ‘old’ set, be aware that the knives are VERY different. They are flatter and broader. In fact, the knife pictured in the listing at the time of this review is the previous style – the photo DOES NOT show the knife that actually comes in this set. And even more perplexing is that the box the pieces arrived in also shows the old style in the picture while you can clearly see the new style in the box. A bit lazy on the part of the manufacturer. All of the pieces are ever so slightly different from the original so I decided to order two sets of the new and put my old set away to use if I need more than 24 place settings. Even though I’m slightly disappointed that this set isn’t quite as high quality as my first set, I think it is an extremely good value for the price. I’ve been looking for a new set of flatware for a long time and just couldn't find anything that I liked as well. And absolutely nothing has this level of quality for this price. It's a good purchase. Addition to previous review: After using the flatter knives for several months, we love them! The set has held up beautifully after dozens of uses and runs through the dishwasher. Looks as good as new.

Beautiful and Eclectic

I’m not sure why some have said this set is not sturdy because it is very sturdy! And it is beautiful. I’ve never owned a set that was extremely pricey but I won’t buy a generic or cheap set. My old set was minimal in design but rather expensive back in the day and I wanted something more fancy but not too fancy. This fit that bill. Not matchy matchy but eclectic and interesting. It’s perfect for us. It does have the pattern on both sides but is imprinted so the backside of everything except the knives are the opposite of the front. Not really noticeable unless someone is being prissy. They also wash beautifully in the dishwasher. My only negative is that there are no long teaspoons to go with the set. The price was great as well.

Fabulous flatware

This silverware is gorgeous and very well made. The large dinner fork is large and substantial, which I love! I also really love the various coordinating designs. It's really a beautiful set. The 90 piece set includes 3 different forks and spoons, as well as some serving pieces. I am extremely happy with this silverware and look forward to enjoying it for years to come. I highly recommend!!

Slightly different design assortment but nice

Great price for a 90-piece set of flatware that can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. As noted by other reviewers, the knife design has been updated. It's a "hotel" set, so designs are mixed. Amazon should update the product photo to an accurate photo.

Highly recommend!

I've been looking for the perfect flatware set for a couple years and I finally found it! I love all of the patterns and it not only looks beautiful on the table, it feels heavy and substantial in the hand. If this suits your sense of taste and you're okay with having different patterns that coordinate beautifully, I highly recommend Towle's Hotel flatware set.

inferior quality

I was disappointed in the quality of this tableware ! It's not heavyweight , in fact it's quite light ! Pattern is stamped which cheapens it ! Also, for the price, I expected much better quality ! I will maybe return it if I locate what I'm looking for !
