The second switch worked great

Had an issue with the first switch, sent it back and got a second on that worked great. Shipping a little slow. But got the job done.

Exact replaceement

Exact replacement for two speed whole house fan switch that had been in 25 years or more and finally died.

Well, it did worked. But...

The manner in which the wires are connected is fiction fitted. So one or more of the connecting wires can, and sometimes does, become separated from the switch. Therefore causing a short, which is what happened with the switch I needed to replace did. SO; when the new switch arrived one of the wires and become unattached and was free within the box. Fortunately for me I had saved the original switch so I knew where the correct wires were to be connected. I used epoxy to keep the wires connected to the switch and then used the switch for replacement. This so far has worked with no issues.

No good switch.

I ordered this switch for a 2 speed fan. I wired it up per the instructions, and it did not work. $31.49 down the drain, because I most likely won't get a refund. One wire on the switch falls out, and won't stay in. I do a lot of wiring where I work, so I'm not a novice. I can't even get continuity through it. If this is what Amazon sells, I'll go elsewhere.

DID NOT WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX

Switch was improperly assembled by manufacture. The black wire, power in, was inserted in #1 terminal not allowing power to contact speed settings hi, blue wire, #2terminal nor low, red wire #3terminal. Black wire, power in, should have been installed in the L terminal to allow proper operation according to my electrician. Zero quality control! Very dissatisfied! Beware of this supplier!
