Perfect for tamales

My mom makes tamales every year around Christmas time. Her and my dad would always be cutting cheese slices or cube by hand. This makes it so much easier on them and helps them get more of system down when making and prepping ingredients. She makes enough for the neighborhood every year and this cutter has held up for 2 so far! Very pleased and impressed

Cuts cheese fine, but I don't know how long it will last

It cuts cheese well, but we have to be sure to take off any plastic or wax covering. The marble is very heavy, but we don't have to lift it much. I don't how long the cutting part will last; it doesn't seem very sturdy. Definitely not easy to clean out the small area under the wire.

Easy to use. Only use it for cheese. That’s the intended use. Some say the wires break easily. They last a very long time when used for cheese only. Wish one could pick the tone of the marble. But hey for the price, who’s complaining. Not I. Great gift too.

Description states product is supplied with 2 additional wires. Only one was provided; even the box states only one replacement wire is included. The actual item is quite good quality though.

Arrived Broken

Ordered 2 slicers - white $27 & Black $24. The white one arrived with the attached wire broken. Yes, I know each one comes with 2 extra wires, however, I paid over $50 for the two slicers and 6 wires and I'm down one before ever slicing any cheese. Pretty disappointed. Let's see how good the Customer Service will be.????????????

This is a gift so haven’t used but have tested to fit a wire myself which is easy and goes tight to slice easily , just annoyed that the wire already fitted was broken as in other reviews so the 2 extra you get is actually only one

Excellent Cheese or Soap Slicer

I bought this cheese slicer for slicing my homemade soap, and I am extremely pleased with the quality and ease of use. The marble slab is heavy but manageable, with cushioned footings. The wire came taut and cut through my soap smoothly and easily. It looks elegant and functions beautifully. Pros: -Heavy, beautiful marble -Functional wires, with three extra included in the set -Compact slicer, fits on my bookshelf in its box when not in use -Cuts soap perfectly -Easy to clean Con: -The base is a little bit shorter than expected, causing my full soap bar to hang off the back. This is not really a problem, though, as I can balance the soap. On the whole, I heartily recommend this product as a cheese or a soap slicer!
