Great cover, one major flaw which I will attempt to fix

This is a great winch cover with one major flaw. As noted by others, it will quickly fade when exposed to any UV sunlight and then it looks terrible. I'm using this cover on my JK Wrangler to cover a 12K winch with synthetic rope mounted in an AEV front bumper. Unfortunately, this setup limits my options of winch covers since I need a form fitting cover due to the limited space of being mounted inside the AEV bumper. This cover fits that aspect nicely. I purchased this neoprene cover for its form fitting, and to protect my synth winch line from UV damage and to keep the water and dirt out of my synth rope when not in use. I didn't realize I also needed to protect my winch cover from UV damage. After just over 1 year of use, the black of the cover is completely washed out wherever it was exposed to any sunlight. I purchased at end of July and it is now end of September the following year. I live in Michigan, so not a lot of exposure to direct sunlight in that time. Since it fit all the other aspects I needed, I decided to purchase another one, but this time around I'm going to try to protect the cover from the UV damage by wiping it down with 303 UV fabric protectant spray which I also purchased on Amazon. I will update my review, once I've had time to see how that works out. It would have been nice if bulldog, would have thought of this as part of their design. 303 (30313-CSR) UV Protectant Spray for Vinyl, Plastic, Rubber, Fiberglass, Leather & More - Dust and Dirt Repellant - Non-Toxic, Matte Finish, 32 Fl. oz. To give others an idea of what to expect without applying any UV protectant, I'm going to post some pics of the 1 year old cover, next to the brand new replacement cover I purchased. I've also removed the Bulldog patch of the older cover, to further show the same area of the cover that wasn't exposed to UV since the patch provided UV protection to the neoprene material under it. Another thing that I like about this cover is that the branding patch can be removed easily unlike all the other covers where they have their branding painted all over the cover. I don't have a bulldog winch and I don't like advertising branding put on the parts I purchase for my Jeep. I decided for the replacement cover to remove the bulldog branding patch, and to replace it with a Jeep logo patch, also pictured. Pros: - Nice neoprene material and build quality - Form fitting with elastic band and velcro adjustment for interior bumper mounted winch with limited space. - Branding is easy to remove from cover Cons: - Quickly fades when exposed to any sunlight Review Update: I've had the cover on for about 3 months now. The 303 UV protectant seems to be working. The cover hasn't faded. The previous one was grey after 2 months without the 303. I'm going to raise my review from 3 to 4 stars since color fading seems to be pretty common among neoprene covers when exposed to UV rays. 3 month photo added. I will update after 6 months.

Perfect fit for a Smittybult!

I purchased a new Smittybilt XRC 9,500. As of September, 2020, a Smitty cover had not yet been made that fits this winch. This Bulldog winch cover fit like a glove!

Color fades in sunlight.

Solid fit but quickly fades to a gray color in the sunlight. This is my second one.

I have had this for exactly two months and it is fading horribly. Instead of the original black, the neoprene is turning off gray and it looks ridiculous. I live in northern Utah for Pete's sake. It's not like I am in Arizona, Florida or southern California. They only offer a thirty day return, so I will have to find another solution for my winch cover. I cannot keep this on my truck. It is embarrassing.
