Works Perfectly

I was looking to replace a malfunctioning smart trainer. After reviewing several choices I selected the Wahoo Kickr Snap. The price was right and it was available. The unit came ready to be installed, no assembly was required. A front wheel holder was included. Installing the bicycle was simple and quick. I was specifically interested in a wheel on unit so this fit perfectly into my setup. Performance is smooth and accurate for my training needs. This unit is affordable and works seamlessly with Wahoo exercise programs.

Speed sensor did not work out of the box. Replacement worked fine with some additions.

Unfortunately, the Speed Sensor did not work out of the box. If no speed is sensed, then it is pretty hard to use with an app that depends on the speed sent out by the KICKR SNAP. Update. The replacement KICKR SNAP worked fine out of the box. To get it to work with apps on a PC connected to a large screen TV, I needed to purchase an ANT + USB dongle with a USB extension cord. Once this was in place, the KICKR SNAP was recognized by the cycling apps running on the PC, as well as recognizing my HR monitor and cadence monitor.

Didn’t Work

I gave it 3 stars because Wahoo makes good products. The box had some damage and that could have caused the problem. The speed sensor and power wouldn’t register. I was able to return it for a full refund and no shipping cost. I have seen many reviews with a similar problem so this may be a weak link with this trainer. I’ll try it again, however the next purchase will be from a local shop where I can test it first.

Excellent!

This is my first smart training and although all my friends have the higher end ones, I really enjoy this one because it doesn't require touching the chain and taking wheels on and off... "Snap" it right in and you are off! Works GREAT will all the smart trainer apps like Zwift, Sufferfest, Endurance Road and Rouvey.

Bought this for my son for Christmas and he loves it . Living in New York he can’t get out and ride as much as he would like so he uses this inside with a app and does virtual rides.

Fantastic Trainer

Quick delivery of trainer through Amazon within two days and package was un damaged. Straight out from the box I was up and running or pedalling within 5 minutes with very minimal adjustments needed. Already had a trainer skewer fitted to my wheel and also speed/cadence sensors fitted, even though I wouldn’t need the speed sensor which I just quickly removed. Used Zwift on mobile for quick spin and connected with the trainer instantly after slowly pedalling and then calibrated it using Zwift. Yes the unit itself is heavy but I’d expect this with it being a wheel on trainer and gives it stability when hitting higher speeds and cadences. I think this is about the same noise level that I had with a fluid trainer and that isn’t really an issue as I use a purpose mat for my previous trainers. Not had any issues with drop outs using Zwift and or my Garmin watch and cycling computer, the only thing is that the power readings can be over or under, I was setting myself at 200 watts of power and was hitting around 180 to 225 in readings without easing off, not sure if this is a Bluetooth connection delay but will try it using my PC will update on this. Overall I’m impressed with the Kickr Snap and it gives me everything I’d possibly need for indoor training. It’s connected within seconds of switching it on the mains, calibrated in a minute and off you go. Very impressed with the resistance when climbing up hills using Zwift but it should connect to other platforms no doubt, feels sturdy when hitting the higher power levels and surprisingly quiet. It is heavy but I don’t see an issue with that myself. Everything works and within minutes less than 5 minutes actually I was using it on Zwift. It supplied me with a skewer and a front wheel riser of which I already had fitted but that is less than a minute to install. For an amateur cyclist who enjoys indoor training this is enough for what I’d ever need. I will try it out on ROUVY and update this but I’d definitely recommend this Turbo trainer to anyone looking to get fit or just want a dry ride during winter. It does everything it says with ease.

Positiv: - Sehr leise - Qualität - Stabil - Funktioniert einfach Negativ: - Ich musste die Buchse tauschen um meine Steckachse zu montieren, dabei fiel mir auf das die kleine schraube was die Hülse hält sich gefressen hat. Ich wollte den Trainer nicht zurückschicken und habe die schraube aufbohren müssen um die Hülse zu entfernen. Die Hülse (Aluminium) wurde mit einer Schraube (Aluminium) befestigt.... Aluminium auf Aluminium frisst sich nach der Zeit... Das sollten die Hersteller eigentlich wissen.
