It is okay but not the best.
I bought another brand a couple of years ago - Syomea which came with 2 units and bases. I liked those much better because when it was turned "on", it was on and would zap automatically without having to hold down the activation button. This one works but I also have to "work" by holding down the button. Once I let go, it will not zap. It also does not have a blue light that attracts mosquitos. I am not sure if I will be keeping this one - unless I zap some bugs in the next few hours. Paying more for a stand wouldn't make sense because you have to hold this one for it to work.

It's impressive!
The media could not be loaded. Previously, I owned a hand held zapper. I don't enjoy the hunt, but my former partner did and it was fine. I have since moved inland from the coast and am encountering I am unfamiliar with. I turn on my porch light and get attacked by flying insects. It's creeping me out. So, I talk to my new neighbors and two or three times a year you need to get an insect termination expert out here to take care of things. News to me. So I looked at the termite people in the area. They have pictures of termites, flying ants and other pests. I'm concerned about termites and flying ants,(who knew?) So I purchased these. The upside is that I can sit on my porch in the evening and not swat a bug away every 3 seconds. I didn't think there were any bugs in my house last night, but there were and it got them. I feel badly for killing insects -we are all a part of the ecosystem, but it's better them than me. The larger insects take longer to die and it's distressing hearing and seeing the purple flashes of their relatively slow deaths, but still. And they smell, briefly, like burned hair. Sadness, but still. I may purchase more and plug them into every USB port I have. I am concerned that I am killing beneficial insects. I will submit photos of the sad insect corpses that didn't disintegrate. Termites be gone, but Daddy Long legs, I apologize if it's you. Bottom line, buy it. Passively kill, as I do, or get your game on and swing away!

compared to HFT swatters...so far much better.
Because these have a USB charge LI battery , they have more power than the Yellow HFT swatters, and much lighter. The only downside seems to be the switch location on the handle as others have said. Because its more towards the middle than the end, you get less reach. I will continue to buy these over the old yellow HFT despite the noted issues.

Worth every penny
I've seen these before, but not this safe nor this large. I bought this because we went on holiday and left some banana's in the kitchen while we were gone. A bit of advice - never do this! We have had a gnat infestation for a couple of weeks. We cleaned thoroughly, we set out apple cider vinegar w/ 3 drops of dish soap - which did kill many of them but not enough, and got rid of all the fruit in the house. Nothing was working. I got this in yesterday and it is AMAZING. Yesterday I disseminated the gnats in the house. This morning I went through and there were so few and I was able to go through and destroy them. I anticipate taking the rest out tonight/tomorrow.

Game changer
The media could not be loaded. The Mosquitoes came to battle but these zappers didn t come to loose a fight when it say it’s good it’s good. It takes days before it needs charging again but this is a literally and every day tool in my house and I’m very pleased with my order.

Works perfectly as intended.
The media could not be loaded. Works pretty much on any bug. Flys, moths, spiders, centipedes, etc. I’ve actually been having fun getting rid of insects using this in a weird way but I can say it definitely works better than the spray for sure. You don’t have to worry about the smell of the spray or the particles getting into places you don’t want it. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I wish the battery lasted longer when leaving it up as a stand but you can leave it on the charger for that too so other than that I’d say it’s perfect!
