Easy, quiet, beautiful

I've always been a fan of Aerogardens but this one is a cut above. It's so quiet I sometimes have to get close to hear the motor at all. I expected the herbs to be weak and soft (normally wind strengthens the plants outside, indoor herbs can be weak), but they are robust and continually productive. If you take off a few leaves at a time, this will put herbs on the menu for months. The basil is strong, as is the parsley, but the dill grows like a maniac. The unit is very small, easy to bring to the sink for cleaning, and tucks neatly into a countertop corner, bringing light to a dark spot in our kitchen. The only complaint I can come up with is that the motor is difficult to remove when cleaning (and accumulates material beneath it, so it needs removal now and then). Otherwise, this product is a delight.

Wife says: "It's very easy, it works well..." The one I bought for my sister had a seed that didn't sprout but was easy to replace. It looks nice on a countertop or bakers tack. I can't speak to the flavor of the herbs though.

Makes me sad

Today I inserted a third set of seeds; the first two sets did nothing. I am being overly optimistic. Purchased SPROUT on 8/30/2022 via Amazon. Started seeds on 9/11/2022, Dumped slimy pods on 10/8/2022. Checked Amazon site, said to contact AeroGarden. Contacted AeroGarden on 10/12/2022, said to contact Amazon since that is where I purchased it. I did receive a second response from AeroGarden to let me know that their products are covered by a one year warranty, including the seeds. SECOND PLANTING on 10/13/2022 Dumped slimy pods today, 11/04/2022 THIRD PLANTING on 11/04/2022 All AeroGarden lettuce - three types This is the last of the seeds I got from AeroGarden and I believe these were included with the Harvest I purchased from AeroGarden. (The seeds I started in the Harvest are growing.) Biggest issue is that you have to wait for at least three weeks to see if anything will sprout and then you just have to cross your fingers. All of the lettuce grew. The secret was to purchase and use distilled water.

Worth the purchase but has issues

I have had this for about 3.5 months or so, I got it at Christmas, it's kept in my bedroom I use the little three pod one to start my seeds and transfer them after a couple weeks, the little red light came on and when I tried to gently tap the button to turn it off the button doesnt work so it's permanently flashing now, so that's fun. Tried unplugging it from wall and doing a complete clean out and but the button doesn't work and the red light won't turn off. Other than that it's very quiet and the light is bright ????

Life changing

It’s awesome- it grows perfectly every time - I rip off the lettuce and it just grows back perfect again- let me tell u I DONT have a green thumb at all - wish I did but it’s so ez aerogarden will makes you look like you have a green thumb too. What’s even better is there are ebt eligible veggie pods wow! Right? There are blank pods for use also and the light is automatic u set the lights starts time and aerogarden does all the work it auto times the light on and off it also tells u to add fertilizer on time - included fertilizer lasts a long time too. aero garden is a no brainer go get one! This is actually my second purchase I also got a 12 pod upgraded version prior and loved it too. I like that it auto turns on a light to make it look like someone is home at night when I work nights - can be used as a night light also. Just a little bright for the eyes if ur nearby.

Love this!

Let me start off by saying I have a black thumb. You could give me a plant that doesn't need sunlight or water and I'd still manage to kill it! I really wish I was good with plants, so when I saw this on sale I decided to grab it and see if it was as easy as it seemed. The set up was really quick and easy. It came with 3 pods, you just set them in the tray, add the clear plastic caps on top, fill with water and a capful of food and plug it in. The light automatically comes on and there's a light that blinks on top when you need to add more plant food (came with the kit). My kids and I checked it every day and got super excited when we saw little green sprouts popping up. The sprouts eventually grew into the plants you see in the photos. I set everything up on Sept 2nd. The first photo was taken on Sept 25th and the other 3 were taken 5 days later, Sept 30th! I pruned the basil and dill and froze them so I could use them in my cooking. I can't wait to see them continue to grow and see how much I get out of this awesome little kit. Totally worth it, and I'll probably end up grabbing one of the bigger AeroGardens in the future if they go on sale.

Buy it - you'll love it!

No dislikes at all. We popped in the growing capsules, filled the water reservoir, added the nutrients, and switched it on. The basil is already trying to take over the world, the dill is 2 inches high, and the parsley is starting (always the slowpoke). We grew tomatoes hydroponically in a high-rise apartment years ago, and it's fun to start again. We'll certainly buy larger Aerogardens later. This has been a rough winter but the tiny green shoots were encouraging even at minus 45 C.

Not practical, gimmicky

It's pretty overpriced as it is, and it's quite small. A lot of plants need different spectrums of light and more room (width, not just height) Basically its made to sell you their individual seed pods, which are kind of wasteful and also overpriced. It's okay as a hobby or for flowers. If you're at all interested in hydroponics for consumption you're better off somewhere else.

Good machine, bad pods

My daughter and I were super excited when the package arrived. The machine was very easy to assemble and we planted the three pods immediately. One week after, we are not seeing any sprouts yet (as expected). But the basil pod is already filled with white mold which is disgusting. Strickly followed the instructions and the temperature at my appartment is always between 20-24. Very disappointed so far. Will update if the white moldy pod can still sprout.

overall good, kin of small but not all plants sprouted

I like the look and easy to use. Kind of small but fits well in my small kitchen. After a month, I just started using some Basil, the parsley is taking for ever (only 2 cm high so far) and the dill never sprouted. There is not timeline or instructions for how long to wait before giving up on the plants that are nor sprouting.

Great kitchen herb garden.

I purchased the fresh tea kit separately and now grow basil, lavender, and mint. I purchased it under a month ago and have already harvested basil 3 times and mint twice. Quick, healthy, great tasting herbs. Very quiet and energy efficient. I have saved at least 50 on herbs and teas so far! With the sprouting guarantee you really cannot go wrong. I wish I would have purchased the larger one, but this is great if you use few herbs or have limited space!
