Like a snake

Bought this hose to replace a Goodyear black rubber hose. The old hose worked fine but left scuff marks when I dragged it across my work bench and anything else it came in contact with. I decided to go with this after seeing the reviews. The hose is very lite and limber. It takes up a great deal less space on my reel however it coils up badly and refuses to lay flat. I have tripped over this hose more times in the last 3 months than I ever did with my 15 year old rubber hose not to mention the fact that it does not like to be dragged around a corner. When you do get it around the corner keep eyes open when you go back because it will be coiled up like a snake waiting to trip you up. Bottom line--I'm still looking for a good replacement for my Goodyear hose ---- guess I'll go with the red rubber model even though it's heavier.

Exactly what I've been looking for

I own an auto repair shop and just replaced 2 of my old flexzilla hoses with this hose. Huge improvement over the flexzilla, these are much smaller in outside diameter but the same inside diameter so air flow is the same. Very flexible and much lighter than any other hose I have ever used. This hose does not get stuck on everything like most other types and fits much better in my hose reels. I have been buying air hoses for nearly 40 years in my line of work... The best hose on the market for sure. Oh and yes, these are made in the USA, NOT China....

Soft, flexable, very tough and very light.

This is what I have been using in our bodyshop for many years. It holds up better than any hose we have purchased. It is so light and flexable there is no other options. The only down side is if you have welding sparks rolling onto this hose, it can melt a hole into it. Even with that in mind, we are very happy with the quality.

Not worth the hype

I've used this hose heavily for 1.5 yrs. Is it a nice hose? Yes. Is it a great hose? No. Not at the 2x (or more) the price tag vs. rubber IMO. Likes: Doesn't stretch (permanently), lighter weight, doesn't kink easy, less friction while dragging around objects. Dislikes: more 'memory' and 'springy' than rubber (easier for it to trip you, get caught on things, or twist on itself - a MAJOR safety hazard IMO), price

Leave the Air Compressor Noise in the Garage!

This long hose is very strong and flexible and allows you to keep your work nice and distant from the noisy air compressor. I'm on foot 1000 of 2000 square feet of hardwood floor installation, and being able to limit the noise in the house to the bang of the flooring nailer has helped keep the family sane during this project.

Works, but not the best.

This hose works, but it gets tankled and kinks up when you merely look at it. I'm constantly tripping over this thing, and coiling it at the end of a job is unnecessarily time consuming. The red rubber ones are better.

Big improvement over rubber hoses

I've been using one of these hoses on a job for the last six months. It's spoiled me so bad I have to buy one of my own now. It is lightweight and slick so it stays out of trouble without snagging on things. The next best thing to having a cordless tool.

Good product

Hose is nice. Does seem to want to recoil pretty badly though. Hoping this will subside with time plus warmer temperatures.
