Great set

Came early, went together fine. Remember this is a basic garden set and not pro slam for the outfield equipment. That said it is quit suited for a afternoon of family fun with the grand kids. Just watch the rambunctious teenage boys trying for a home run, this set is not made to be up to Louisville Slugger standards.

Nice Garden Set

Nice little set to go along with other yard games for your summer fun. The mallets are long enough for adult play. This set is not pro equipment and should not be used thinking as such. So don’t try to send the balls 50 yards with a Tiger Woods driving golf shot. That said, they are sturdy enough for simple normal style play. Overall, a good value and should give you a sense of the amazing game of croquet.

very nicely done, mostly, with a slight defect

I liked the way the set looks, and it feels good to work with (play with); however the blue mallet didn't have the screw "tread" reamed inside it, and the stick part just falls out. For this bulky item, it seemed too much trouble for me to return the entire set, and the wait for a replacement, so I'll just put some wood glue in there and maybe a small nail. It's disappointing though, that I can't expect the product to be made and delivered to me without error.

Great backyard fun

Mallets were sturdy and right height for adults and older children. Didn't see any damage to the balls after an afternoon of family fun. Would recommend for most anyone.

Good for the price

Mallets, balls and post are good and sturdy. The wickets are unfortunately not going to last long. The wire isn’t strong enough for repeated use. Despite taking extra care to get them into the lawn straight and gently, several of the wickets ended up bent and had to be straightened after our first game. The mallet heads will have to be glued to the sticks as the threading wasn’t adequate on several of the mallet handles. Wood gluten should make it sturdy.
