Decent replacement kit

These replacement lights are decent for the price. They are ok as far as the quality of the components are concerned. The wiring is a bit on the inexpensive side but in due respect it will do the job. Water resistance is ok, not the best and not the worst I have seen. Time will be the best test as to how lone they will hold up. If you need a set of trailer lights to renew your trailer, these are worth the money.

Power-saving, long-lasting LEDs. Brass threaded inserts. Flimsy license plate bracket.

With these newer vehicles having start-stop technology; electric power steering; and electric clutches and shift forks on dual-clutch transmissions, saving on power is essential to ensuring you don't end up with a dead battery. These LED lights definitely fit the bill with low power consumption. Given the nature of LEDs, they should also prove long life and save having to change bulbs. These are the perfect size for a utility trailer. Brass inserts for the mounting screws ensure a solid connection and that you're not stripping out the holes. Quick connect splice connectors are provided for making the connections to your vehicle lighting circuits without cutting the wires. If your trailer is already wired, and the wiring is in good shape, you can just replace the lights to upgrade to LED. There's about 10 or 12 inches of wire coming out of each light to attach to existing wiring if need be. The only drawback with this kit is the flimsy license plate bracket. Can't afford to have an expensive trailer plate break off in transit.

It's ok, 16 gauge, but had trouble getting a good ground

Easy to use, easy to install. The wires are extra long, more than enough for my 8 ft trailer. But I had a difficult time getting a good ground connection, I may need to replace the ground wire with something more durable. I count 30 copper strands, which is appropriate for 16 gauge wire. It might just be low grade copper. But overall it's fine, pretty much equivalent to the last trailer light kit I installed.

Could This Be Any EASIER???

Finally, someone makes a TRALER LIGHT KIT FOR DUMMIES and I refer to myself. Everything is here for a VERY SIMPLE, ALL-IN-ONE LIGHT KIT that can be done in a couple of hours in instead of TWO WEEKENDS! THIS KIT IS FOR YOU, the guy who would rather be watching sports. DECENT QUALITY, waterproof, jack-of-all-trades kit that you wonder how they can sell all that stuff for that price. GET THAT TRALER ON THE ROAD - NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

Good Quality

I actually bought this to add a brake light to a hitch-carried spare tire. This has the wiring and connectors needed to do that but I'm a little concerned about the black, plastic T-bracket (center of picture). I think I'll cut a mount out of plywood rather than use that plastic piece. The lights themselves seem to be made of decent, sturdy material and include a license plate light. They look to be waterproof, as advertised. The included wires are very long. I am pleased with this kit.
