Best baby purchase yet

I thought the formula brezza was the best decision on a purchase I've ever made but then came time to start our little one on purees. This allowed us to save I'm sure hundreds of dollars on jar'd foods that are full of preservatives. I've made sweet potato, pears, apples, banana and a few others so far and this magical little steaming processor works great. 1 medium sweet potatoe got us the equivalent of 4 jars of store bought baby food. It works extremely well. I like that you can set it to steam for different times and it will process the food directly after steaming it and then beeps to let you know its done. I'm serious impressed and very happy I decided to buy it. My baby can start a clean healthy life style because I am making his first foods from scratch and when the weather provides straight from our garden. And this has made the whole process extremely easy. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Terrible plastic smell

First time using - terrible plastic smell.. even after use still smells. I don’t want to use this machine for my baby. Don’t fell safe. So, I’ll return the product.. Btw I have baby brezza sterilizer , using it for 6 months now, and have no problem with it.

Love Love Love this!!!!

I had originally bought a baby food maker from target. It did not steam just blended the food. I came across this on amazon and was very interested. I absolutely love this! It steams and blends food. It will do both on its own when I am busy fixing dinner for my husband and I. It also comes with a booklet that tells you what you can fix, how much, and how long. The only complaint I have is my husband cut himself when cleaning the blade.

Super easy all-in-one glass baby food maker

Can't wait to use this baby food maker! I bought it based on Amazon and other site's customer and critical reviews. I like that it is glass. It seems easy to clean, and versatile as far as what you can prepare. I originally registered for the Baby Bullet baby food maker, but ultimately found that this one to be of better quality and more flexible over time, less gimmicky. I also preferred that this one is glass over the various plastic options on the market. Just adding feedback to my original review. I have now been using this to make baby food for our babe for over a month now and LOVE it. It is so easy to use. Also, the images on the product page don't call out the super strong suction cup feet on the bottom of the unit, which are great. They keep the unit firmly in place when you're snap/locking the lid to the canister, and when you're locking the mixing canister into place for steaming/blending. It comes with a super easy guide for how many minutes to cook various items. When you click the Steam/Blend button, it lets you select times in 5-minute increments. All of the minute recommendations have been on point for the various things I've been making so far (sweet potatoes, broccoli, carrots, squash, apples, pears, strawberries, etc.). It cooks and blends the food to a good, safe, fine puree. The blade is easy to remove after the cooking, then it's super easy to just pour the food into the little OXO 6-set baby food containers with trays that I got. It is easy to clean, easy to get the food out, and easy to do multiple batches of different foods right in a row. The unit itself is not super big, maybe 9"x9", and we leave it out on our counter, it doesn't take up too much space. The water basin for the steaming holds enough water when full to run usually 2-3 different batches of food before you need to refill it. There is a Steam/Blend button for first baby purees. There is a Steam button if you just want to steam diced foods for finger foods, and there is a Blend button if you just want to blend/puree something that can be eaten raw. I highly recommend this baby food maker. I hope this helps!

Worth it!

The media could not be loaded. I love this machine! You can make so many baby food recipes and it also comes with a little recipe book already. It’s easy to use and easy to clean as well. You can set it to “steam&blend” and let it do its thing while you do something else. Very convenient and haven’t had an issue with it at all. If you’re thinking about it, this is your sign to get it! :)

Set and forget, but the booklet times should be adjusted to fit your desired results.

Firstly it's important to note this is generally a luxury item. You can accomplish virtually the same thing just steaming and using a normal kitchen blender. It does save time, or free up time, because you can push the steam button and then go do other things. That being said and having read the other reviews there is some important info to consider. The booklet times are GUIDELINES, you will need to adapt and use some common sense. Booklet says to steam apples 15min but we found 25min seems to accomplish the level of steaming we were looking for. Pour out the extra water and then blend them. Secondly we blend the apples twice to reach the desired consistency. As several reviews have mentioned a single blending leaves small chunks, nothing big but just not fully blended. To fix this you merely blend them for another 30 seconds. So follow the book but if you want it more steamed then set the time higher, if you want it more blended then blend it some more. It's pretty simple to learn and adjust to the end result you are looking for. It's easier to clean than your standard blender. The blades, while sharp, are easy to clean without stabbing yourself. The suction cup feet are really nice for keeping it in place while blending. The middle comes apart so it's easy to make sure it's fully cleaned. The water tank does get hot, hot enough you can't handle with bare hands for a quick refill. But considering it's boiling water to make steam and heat rises and water is fairly conductive it's going to be an natural occurrence. Definitely don't want kids on the counter around it while it's working as the glass gets pretty warm as well (again, steam is hot so it's to be expected). Future models may want to consider a tank more like the Keurig coffee makers, where the heat doesn't rise directly into the tank itself. Overall we are generally happy with it, and it's nice to set and walk away and do other things.

MUST hand wash and not 1-step (more like 4)

It came with the buttons unattached, I wasn't impressed with that, but it works pretty well. I love being able to steam and blend in one machine, so there are less dishes. But, I would not say it is as easy as one step. Even for something juicy like pears, it really needs to be steamed 3 times to become a good consistency and not just floating chunks. 3 is the minimum, something like yam needs 4 rounds of steaming. I also end up pouring out all the extra water before I blend. So It's more of a 4 step process, but does make good baby food. It's not as easy as they claim it is to clean. You definitely have to wash the main glass part by hand because food gets stuck underneath if you put it in the dishwasher and there is no way to get it out of that space. If you plan to dishwasher it, even on the top rack, you will have mold in it very quickly that is impossible to get out.

Expected more for the price tag

UPDATED Before buying this item, I researched many options and loved the "one step" feature of this one as I'd like to cook my baby's food at home but also not waste any time if possible. Pros: 1. I love the design, the size of the machine itself, and the size of the bowl as it is bigger than most. 2. It's easy and quick to use. 3. Love that I can set the timer and leave it do its job without sitting there and check on it. I've done purees with vegetables, fruits, and meat and all turn out great. However, for thicker purees I find that adding some water works better for blending. Cons: 1. The first machine I got was leaking when in use. Whatever I did, it was still leaking a lot and the whole counter was wet after use. Turns out that it was the machine as I returned it and the new one doesn't leak. 2. There's some liquid getting trapped between the glass bowl and the plastic base which you can't get to unless you unscrew the whole thing. 3. It's not as easy to clean as they claim as you have to actually scrub the bowl and the blade. I also find that everything tends to stick to the orange plastic part and it needs heavy scrubbing to clean thoroughly. 4. This is not so much a con but personal preference. I find that the meat purees don't get blended as smoothly as I would like (especially in the early stages of introducing solids).

It is leaking, and blade chips off !!!!!!!!!! DANGER !!!!

I purchased your new baby brezza baby food maker (glass). Before I used PLASTIC baby brezza (for 3 years) and NEVER had issues with it! This glass one is a nightmare ! It is leaking everywhere! All the juice form fruit/veggies leak on my counter top, and, actually ruined it(brand new kitchen!)!!!! This is so irritating!!!! I am very upset about the quality. I read reviews about this machine, people were mentioning that pieces of blade come off into baby food. I checked my blade - it has pieces chipped off. I fed my kids : 2-year-old and 8 months old purees from this machine. I am really concerned now!!!!!!!!!!

NOT SAFE

I received this product and the shipping box was fine but the product box wasn’t. The lid was chipped. I thought that I’d give it a shot anyways. I ran it twice with just water to ward off any potential smell and all was good. I followed all the steps to perfection. The first time using it, there was a burning smell when it was blending (and again, I followed the instructions step by step). When I removed the lid, you can see where it was burnt. There was also a metal piece that came off and other pieces were in the puree. VERY unsafe. I absolutely will never recommend this product.

Broke after 3 times

Dont Buy this. We Bought this for our twins, used 3times then Broke already After a week waiting for answer from this company all i have so far from them is : ''did you fill the water tank'' While in my first message i did specify that my water tank was full Really piss me off, i rarely post some ratings but this thing dont worth any of you money !
