It pops open way to easy , the whole point is to protect the glass, if it open up at the slightest bump , then there’s nothing to cover and protect the Lens

Perfect for the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 Scope

I love how you can shoot without flipping the cap open. They stay well in place, but i wish it had more of a locking mechanism to keep this cap closed and they are easily flipped up since they have springs to open. With the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 scope I needed size 7 and 10 to save some people time. If you don't care that this scope cover opens easily especially when unwanted, then I would say buy now, but otherwise wait for a revision of the mechanism.

Better than nothing

Simple, lightweight, and easy to use. I you have problems with them not staying closed it's because you have them pushed on too far and you are expanding the edge that the cap holds on to. So far I haven't scratched up the lens to bad and for close range in bad weather where every movement can give you away I don't need to worry about opening a scope cap. These are obviously made of plastic so expecting them to last forever is not realistic. If I ever drop my weapon it's good to know that these covers will take the hit, not the leading edges of my scope. Kind of like having a shear bolt that will break before everything else gets torn to hell.

Must have for me

Get the right size and fall in love. Have some form of Butler scope caps on EVERY scope I own. They simply work!

Small end of the scope was a little tight.

The large end fit well and operates as it should. The small end was a little tight and flips open constantly rendering it useless. Other then that the glass is fairly clear. They may need some between sizes to properly fit.

The cap is made great just wish the size chart was more accurate I used the size chart and got a huge cover that was no where close to what I needed

Fits well on my scope. Ive had many of these in the past and they are surprisingly durable for a piece of plastic.

Works for GM truck capless fuel filler

I bought this cover to install on the capless fuel filler on a 2017 Chev. Silverado to keep dirt and water from settling on it. Stupid design by GM but this cover fits perfectly and allows easy access to fill the gas tank.
