Cute little kit

My 4.5 year old likes this calm down kit, when she gets upset she has run to grab it a few times. It's just a few items, but a nice little container to hold it. I wouldn't pay more than five bucks for it (which is what I paid), but it's nice for that price.

What a deal!

This has already helped my 5 year old daughter quickly recover from a meltdown. I would pay $5 for that alone. But really, the cards are good quality, the box seems sturdy enough, and the fidget/sensory tools are great; it's all well worth the price in my opinion. Also, the calming strategies on the cards include a good variety of tools, which I can tell my daughter (and myself too) will learn to use in the future. If you can use some help with emotional regulation, definitely get this!

Damaged cup

The media could not be loaded. Really satisfied with the cups, however my orange one is slightly damaged. You see in the green it's completely sealed around the inside edges. The orange has a Crack which as been very hard to clean and causing mold to grow in it.

Useful at School and Home!

This review is part of a Carson Dellosa product review program. I review the product provided to me free of charge. Opinions are my own. This math kit is for 2nd to 3rd graders. My daughter who just finished 2nd grade has covered about half of these concepts on the provided cards and will cover the other concepts in 3rd grade. According to her the place value cards, time/money and the multiplication cards were the most helpful while she was completing math homework. These cards helped her independently be able to answer some of her questions without needing to ask an adult (such as how much money is a quarter worth, or what is 5 x 8). I like that dice were provided and wish there would have been some dice game ideas provided as well!

Cant Beat It

My son is 7, non conversational and has autism. He doesnt have alot of meltdowns but typically if he does they are related to his OCD. I was looking for help with coping strategies and bought this on a whim because its so cheap. I honestly didnt think this was going to help in any way, but figured what the heck. We looked at it together maybe 2 times in a calm state just to get familiar with it. Then one day he was in the beginnings of a meltdown so i just casually asked "do you want the calm down kit?" and to my surprize, he said YES. So i handed it to him and he opened it up and went straight for the stretchy monkey noodle. Within 5 minutes he was completely calm and ready to move on. That damn noodle has gone on to completely prevent and/or diminish other meltdowns! He will even read the text sometimes. So, just get it, its $5. Youre Welcome.

Very good

I bought this to teach my 4 year old about emotions and ways to calm down. It's a great buy however it would've been nice if everything came laminated. Thankfully I have my own laminator and this way it'll last a good while.

Cheap little kit with repetitive information

This kit includes 2 fidget relief toys, one of which is a piece of velcro. Kid you not. The other is a stretchystube that my 8 year old broke in half the first time she stretched it out. The rest of the kit are how to relax cards saying the same thing over and over again : take deep breaths, count to 10, squeeze a stress ball ( not included), listen to music and do wall pushups. Not very helpful and a waste of money.

Great product

Some children have difficulty expressing their feelings and the cards help, plus teaches them what feeling they are experiencing and how to deal with the emotion.
