Dented pot

This was fine- except our pot had a huge dent in it when we opened it. I would have returned it, but it was an anniversary gift and my husband wanted to fry fish the day I gave it to him. If he has not wanted to use it the same day, I would have gotten an exchange.

This is a replacement for another fryer we have and it doesn't seem to be made as heavy duty as the other but will work for what we need.

Terrible Quality Control!

Everything looked good putting it together. Solid construction, everything lined up, burner seemed pretty stout...until I started it up. I lit the burner and the flame looked like it was starving for oxygen. I thought maybe it was the screen inside the burner so i took that off and it seemed ok. Then I looked throught the burner, after taking off the piece on top, and I could only see pinholes of light through it. The casting was so bad on the burner piece, that there was a solid metal blockage inside of the burner, not allowing air to get through. I tried everything i could to punch it out, but i was worried about breaking the brittle casting so I stopped. Luckily I had an old burner I took from another fryer so my cookout wasn't completely ruined. Pretty disapointed. really shouldn't have to deal with a brand new product not working.

Versatile, sturdy, well worth your money

Product came exactly as described. Inner strainer basket makes clean up easy. Definitely needed to read the instructions when assembling this but ultimately it's fairly simple. Product is sturdy, not seemingly made of cheap flimsy material. Made a really great Father's day gift. We've been using it for everything from fish to wings to deep fried Snickers ????

My dad had me order the fryer when we got it he starts to assemble it no of the screws fit my dad had to adjust the wholes in the pot so the screws would fit he shouldn't have to do all that I wanted to return it but we were having a big party it was horrible
